DAMTOYS 1/12 POCKET ELITE SAS CRW BREACHER & ASSAULTER QUICK LOOK

We take a look at the first 1/12 offering from DAMTOYS Pocket Elite series with the SAS CRW Breacher and Assaulter.
The Special Air Service (SAS) is a special forces unit of the British Army. The SAS was founded in 1941 as a regiment, and later reconstituted as a corps in 1950.The unit undertakes a number of roles including covert reconnaissance, counter-terrorism, direct action and hostage rescue. Much of the information and actions regarding the SAS is highly classified, and is not commented on by the British government or the Ministry of Defence due to the sensitivity of their operations.
The corps currently consists of the 22nd Special Air Service Regiment, the regular component under operational command of United Kingdom Special Forces, as well as the 21st (Artists) Special Air Service Regiment (Reserve) and the 23rd Special Air Service Regiment (Reserve), which are reserve units under operational command of the 1st Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Brigade.
The Special Air Service traces its origins to 1941 and the Second World War. It was reformed as part of the Territorial Army in 1947, named the 21st Special Air Service Regiment (Artists Rifles). The 22nd Special Air Service Regiment, which is part of the regular army, gained fame and recognition worldwide after its televised rescue of all but one of the hostages held during the 1980 Iranian Embassy siege.

The red strap is for identification to which team you are in, there are red team and blue team also the red patch on the shoulder is also for identification.

I just found out that they are going to release a 1/12 scale Vietnam war era figure, I wonder when would they release it

They look great, looks like they will scale great with SHF stuff. I hope future releases introduce ankle rocker probably mybonly gripe

Mervine48 WHYYYY assume they will "scale" with "SHF stuff???? In 1/12 scale 1 INCH EQUALS 1 FOOT. Now, the average height for men in the west, where people are the tallest, is about 5 feet and 9 inches, and since these guys basically stands JUST under 6 inches tall, it looks like that at least, they're PERFECT represenations for "normal height" guys which I think is suitable actually, I even think the average heught in SAS IS just under 6 feet, but I could be mistaken, In any case we need to remember as 6 inch collectors that a figure that stands at 6 inches or just below really isn't such a shorty, if we forget this and go crazy we gonna move up to 1/10 scale before we know it. Also, some SHF stuff is in the correct 1/12 scale, it's just that that company is inconsistent with size like ALL companys are, that's why we gotta mix and match it ourself to get it right. Appropriate short female figs for 1/12 scale=SHF, appropriate tall guys for 1/12 =mafex etc...

It's an RAF MK3 Aircrew Emergency Knife in its sheath, and it's an essential piece of kit. Removing it would be heresy! lol Too bad that it's just one solid piece of plastic here, and it can't be drawn, but still a very cool detail to include.

the but pack is a dump pouch where they can bump the empty magazines in.

It's not dump pouch, it is the standard issue gas mask pouch since 70s. Dump pouch concept didn't exist until year 2003.
