I think the whole Horus Heresy theme went totaly out of hand. At first, it was very exciting and interesting to be introduced into the Horus Heresy in detail by Mr. Abnett and co., the first books from Horus rising to maybe Flight of the Eisenstein were cool and had this special feeling to it, like reading an epic story (which it, of course, is). But then suddenly everyone started to write countless books from every point of view imaginable and the feeling got lost, because there was no or just

something about the alpha legion Dan, it has been said in texts that Alpharius and Omegon are normal when it comes to compairing them to another primarch and the way they achieved their subterfuge skills was the fact that their astartes were being bread to become the tallest of all legion reducing the height difference between astartes and primarchs

sanguinius gets along with all his brothers and most of the imperium for that matter, it is why they call him the Noble Primarch (as well as Lord of Angels). he knows how to talk to each of them without pissing them off...i mean they commemorated a day of remembrence to him after he died... bloody hell he must have been well liked.

@MacKnight Thousand Sons, Black Legion, or Word Bearers are really the only candidates.

@MacKnight Its just due to Dark Crusade and Eliphas constantly remarking to them as "Brothers" in a rather cryptic way. It holds the least evidence, I never said it was the most likely. For instance, there is 0 chance they are Emperor's Children, Death Guard, Iron Warriors, Night Lords, or World Eaters. Those 3 are the only ones there is a chance of them being, Thousand Sons the most, Black Legion the second, and Word Bearers the third. Literally or the order in which I wrote them ;)

@MacKnight Its not the entire Legion, and some of them do express some level of doubt. As I said, I'm not saying its them, I personally doubt it as well, but there is a small chance of that being true. Also, the Blood Ravens use many sayings that the Word Bearers do as well.

Prospero burns is one of my favorite HH installments because it was not just epic brutality. no legion got as much personality in one book as the spacewolves. Alos I dont think its ABOUT the remembrancer. he's just a clever and interesting way to tell the story of the spacewolves and the destruction of Prospero. The thing is, Prospero burns made the Space wolves relateable, real, and filled with personality. thats one of the main reasons I want to read the HH books.

and Space Marines and the Empy, so maybe they should get more attention to shape them into a character a reader can empathize with. For the conclusion of the HH i hope for maybe a good trilogy, an ending worthy of the beginning, that gives this ,WTf,-this-is-amazing!!'-feeling back, which gripped me while reading the last stand of the loyalists at the end of ,Galaxy in flames' But that's just my opinion! All in all i like Mr. Abnetts work, keep the good stuff coming! Greetings from Germany!

@Lanparth All the legions before the heresy called eachothers brothers, so i doubt it still. I agree with your ranking there, Thousand Sons first and Black Legion second. But I doubt Word Bearers, for many reasons. 1. They didnt have abnormal psyckers in their ranks. 2. Word Bearers were fanaticaly loyal to their primarch. Their entire legion turned or killed even before the heresy had started. 3. Thousand Sons didnt turn willingly, And some of their legion wasent on Prospero when it fell.

little details related to the first books, which had a clear chronology and build up on each other. I liked some of those books (for example Know no Fear was good), but others, like ,Legion' or ,Prospero burns' were pretty much disappointing. So Alpharius one day meets some freaky aliens after a series of meaningless battles, who tell him of the future and that he should turn against the emperor to shorten humanity's misery and he's just like:,,mmmh, Okay..' srsly?! And then there's Prospero

burns. When I first heard about it I hoped to read about the epic siege of Prospero and a lot of Space-Wolvely-brutality! In the end it turned out to be the boring lifestorie of just another goddamned remembracer which concluded in the destruction of Prospero...over maybe 30 Pages! From my point of view, HH books should focus more on the important stuff and make them seem as great and important as they deserve and leave out most of the unimportant human stuff, after all 40k is aboout Primarchs
