More excellent Techno from Romania. I'm getting to the point where I can tell about 85% of the time if I'm listening to an Artist from that country, even if I've never heard it before & not looking at any info. Romania has a distinctness that sets it apart from the popular forms from other parts of Europe. I have heard some great beats from Russia but I have not heard much from places like Poland, Ukraine, or the Czech Republic & other Slavic countries. I KNOW it's there. If Anyone knows of some good beats from those places I'd be beholden to you for letting me know any suggestions

+Cyan Blackflower indeed they have a very special sound! it seems like me too can't get enough of it, to the point that i start worry about overhearing it but then there's always a fresh new sound ready to inspire you.. not to mention that you are lead into a vastity of good music (not only from ro) if you take a listen to what the arpiar heads do play:) Give a try to labels like Propaganda, Body Parts, All Inn, Arma, Nervmusic, Untold Stories, Tape Hiss or artists like Nastia, Andrei Zots, Andras Toth or Coldfish..especially the latter from Hungary has put out a few new labels to watch;)

***** I hope for your sake, that what I'm about to say is actually just going through the motions. If it is "News" to you, or you can't understand it. Then I dare say you are NOT qualified to make any assessment on the work of an Artist - I suspect this may be the case - Here is why : Music is Art. Art is Totally subjective. Furthermore, the primary function of art is NOT concerned with the intellect, although it usually does as a "side effect" But first it is appealing via invoking an EMOTIONAL response in those who experience it. This track is an example of "Minimalism" - Stripped down "bare bones" Art that requires imagination to give meaning, and value, in direct proportion to the abilities and mental acumen of those to whom it resonates. Make of it what You will. Most importantly, you have NO right, nor the power to attempt to detract from someone's enjoyment of objects which subjectively give that person pleasure. To infer that the work, or person is "stupid" or lacks mental acumen for THEIR insight into it - is not only rude and wrong, but may reflect strongly on your own proclivity for insight. So there is only what appeals to the viewer, NOT "good" or "bad" just because you think so - I'm just pointing it out.

(That's honestly the only explanation why clubbers can stand this much minimalism. Otherwise, the "rominimal" sound has an ill reputation among outsiders just as much as Romanian New Wave films have among our mainstream).
