Saw this drop on Spotify last night when I was coming back home past midnight on a train. I had fallen asleep and woke up a couple of stations away from my destination, I was listening to the album Showbiz by Muse. When the album ends and I was about to close Spotify and walk home I saw a notification of a new release and it was this song. I downloaded it and listened to it on repeat all the way back home at 4 a.m. and a freezing wind blowing. It was a perfect match if you ask me because despite it all I came back home happy, memorizing the lyrics. Thank you Dan, thank you Bygones. This album is gonna be a keeper for sure just like Hurricane Season and Party Adjacent.

Did somebody throw me in a time machine and set it to the early 70s? That's not quite right though. The sound is way cleaner, the lyrics are a lot more evolved. But I actually remember that sound and the captured it!

Great song, one the best I have heard from Dan in a while. He’s such a solid musician. I wonder if that’s him supplying those tasty licks On that solo!? He may want to give Matt some guitar lessons 🎸😉

I agree. It’s weird how many songs are released before an albums official release now. I usually listen to them once, then wait until I have the entire album to appreciate all together.
