I already have all the respect and admiration in the world for the Robert Balzar Trio, so Dan Barta had the ultimate platform for his vocals. It would have been better had Barta not leaned so heavily, and for so long, on his vocal synthesizer. He has a good natural voice and I wanted to hear more of it, instead he defaulted to vocal processing. Masterful solos from the trio would have been more appropriate, considering. A good effort that could have been great without Barta's vocal insecurities; at least in this performance
