​@@moonhead8550I disagree 100% in fact I would make the argument and not a single coach in the league personifies and is more of a superstar to their team than Campbell is. He is the face of the Detroit Lions. They don't really have a stud standout marketable player like most top teams do. With that said Minnesota coach deserves every bit as much credit and if he wins this week he probably deserves your word. Keep in mind they were projected with seven games this year. Even with Hutchinson and McNeil out the lions are better than a projected seven win team

Since my Carolina Panthers are not going to be competitive while David Tepper is owner, I have adopted the Lions and Buffalo Bills as my fave teams. The Lions are a great story and a great team. I hope they can win it all. What concerns me is the injury bug that has hit the team, especially on defense. Losing Aiden Hutchinson and Alim McNeil was a major blow. They have been giving up more points since their injuries. I'm not sure if Alex Anzalone's injury is season ending, but they need him back big-time. Losing RB David Montgomery was big, as well. Since Ezekial Elliot was just let go by Dallas, maybe the Lions could sign him at low cost to spell Jahmyr Gibbs. - - Anyway, the Lions are now proving to be a great team and a great organization. After so many years in the doldrums during the previous decade, it's time for the Lions to win it all.

However, normally if Detroit can convert on over 50% of their 4th and 1’s, than in two possessions to make the stat realistic…they are getting an opportunity at 12-16 points vs max 6 (which in either case is ofc no points are guaranteed). But lately, their 4th and one conversion rate is like 70%; it is way too high to ignore being more aggressive realizing you won’t succeed on some. In general, I think the only real arguable ones are if you are deep in your own zone like at your own 35 yard line or less(not a hard number)but needs to be clear within the organization what level of risk you are willing to take.

Obviously, the win this week would be great but consider this scenario: Lions lose this week and them play the Bucs in the wild card round. The other two wild card teams lose. Lions would then play Minnesota again with at least a few more players returning. A win there gets Lions back to the NFC championship game, likely the Eagles. A much rougher road, but the first two games are entirely do-able for this team. Eagles in Philly would be a tough game. If Lions win, this week, the re-match with the Vikings would still be a very real possibility, but with Vikings coming to Detroit. Hosting the NFC championship game in Detroit would be something really special. Seems like there should be some discussion about seeding system for the playoffs. The way this is currently set up could result in the two teams with the best records in the conference playing in the divisional round rather than the NFC championship. My point is that the league should at least consider re-evaluating how teams are seeded for the playoffs or have an option(s) available for the matchups. That said, if the league did implement something like this, it would most likely result in the Lions being put in a disadvantageous place if the league has their way. Lions always get the short end of the stick from the league.
