Have never been into electronic music….until last night when I saw Dan Deacon open for Arcade Fire in Pittsburgh. I'm converted, Dan Deacon is really an extraordinary artist! His music is transportive. I'm a fan.

Same here. Saw him open for Arcade Fire in Philly last week. Never even knew what Electronica was... been listening to him all week.

He opened for Arcade Fire? Whoa! I got to see him twice back in 07 and was preaching the Deacon back then. He hooked me up with a shirt he made with a duck on it and used a gratuitous amount of electrical tape on all his props, equipment and even glasses. Definitely one of the most interesting folks to talk to.

You’re completely right! I’m just happy hearing someone else say what I also believe is totally true, and also said so eloquently too.

I have mad respect for Dan Deacon, the man has a great sound to all of his music.. and all of his songs are incredibly unique and so different. And his main goal is to release all of the fear and anxiety that ties us down to-in a lack of better terms; peaking over our shoulders to feel safe.. he washes away that feeling at his shows and makes people appreciate other people for who they are and what they are as a whole. He has a hell of a vision.

I’m jus happy knowing Dan exist. What’s funny is this video is only confirming what I had suspected is why he is my all time favorite modern musician, after watching this I got satisfactory answers.

This video was my intro to Dan Deacon, and I'm already a fan. I'm a big Animal Collective / Panda Bear fan, so I think Deacon's work is right up my alley. Sweet studio! Son-of-a-bitch I wish I was a studio (or any) musician. While it's obviously a ton of work even if you're not as meticulous as Deacon, it just looks like the job from heaven to me. Great video.

But the only point you've made is that you make music on your PHONE - So just stop, Dan is on the right track to becoming the Philip Glass of electronic music, and I wouldn't expect someone whose username is a pop punk band to get it anyways so don't expect an argument, weenie.

Well if you're running MIDI through a piano why not just use a Nord Electro and you'll have a piano playing that fast that sounds amazing balls
