If hangman is able to avoid Gamrot's takedowns, he might make this look surprisingly easy.. And he has a good takedown defence! Turner dropped Gamrot a couple times, and even Dos Anjos dominated Gamrot on feet.. And Hangman beat turner on his own game (on feet), wouldn't be a first time Hooker getting a KO while an opponent is trying to score a takedown.. 😉 But gotta try Hooker with these odd's, by KO/desicion

What? Gamrot went through Turner with 1 week notice. RDA v Gamrot was so one-sided and we are talking about the legendary RDA. This will probably be one of the easier fights Gamrot had in UFC

Hooker's mentality is one of a kind, no one hadn't been standing in a pocket like that with Turner than Hooker did.. And we're talking about 40-years old washed up RDA... Rda shooked Gamrot in round 1 and his latest KO is from 2015... Not saying that Gamrot wouldn't be able to walk away with win again with multiple takedowns, that's the only thing he has against the Hangman.. But Hooker is very well aware of that.. 😉 Hooker is very good at managing the distance and in timing also..

@@TCbett You underestimate the importance of preparation before a fight especially on the highest level. Additionally, Turner is a guy who you definitely need to prepare for. Isn’t he the tallest guy in the division and has a very odd fighting style. Distance management and feeling out opponents reach is what you train for. If you have never been in amateur or pro fight you will never understand. The only thing what hooker can surprise Gamrot with is probably his resilience and character. The fight will probably play out similarly to the Hooker-Makhachev, besides it will most likely end with a decision going to Gamrot

And for the importance of the preparation; I'm pretty sure for this matchup that Hooker knows better what he'll be awaiting from the Gamrot's side.. ;) And Gamrot is not Mackhachev mate :D Gamrot has 3 submission wins on his resimate in the last 10years while Islam has 9.. And I'm pretty sure Dan have learned somethimg from that Islam fight also.. ;) And I don't see anything "odd" in Turner's style to fight, very straightforward stand up fighter, leaning on his ordinary hitting game and reach advantage.. And if you have watched Gamrot's last fight's against Turner and RDA, you have nodest that he has been very unarmed in the stand up game when the levels of the opponents are going higher. But as I said, not surprised if Gamrot is succesfull on his takedowns for a laying decision win.. But not surprised neither if Hooker would Ko him with a knee, elbow, etc.. Or if Gamrot is not succesfull in takedowns, it might be an easy decision win for Hangman also.. If you watched Puelles fight, you can see how well Hooker was able to avoid the takedown attempts on that one.. And how one sided the match was on the stand up game.. Gamrot is 10x faster and better with his takedowns though.. We'll see how it will play out, hope we will have an enjoyable fight night 🙂🙏
