This movie is easily in my top 5 favorites. Still as endearing watching it for the 15th time as the first; this film never gets old. I am so pleased with the entire casting, but Steve, Juliette, and Dane are amazing.

I just watched the movie like for the 3rd times already, and it's clear that the trailer didn't give justice to the actual movie! What's so good about this movie is that, it puts the two actors in a complicated situation where he's in love with the wrong person (brother's girlfriend) but it's not his fault for falling for her. The connection between them is too strong that makes him feel that there's a certain rightness in his wronging. Puft, what am I saying? Classic, great yet by far the most underrated movie I ever know! Like always, Steve Carell did an excellent job! Nuff say. Worth a watch or watches!

Same here. I kind of fell with the Soundtrack. Especially The Picking Hum of Sondre Lerche. I can watch this movie over and over again, without being bored. In my opinion, the movie seems just so real. I think that's why I love it this much. It's not like all the other movies nowadays.

Discovered this movie this week -- what a thrill it is to find such a well written and fun loving, offbeat movie with a stellar cast. Steve Carrell + Juliet Binoche + Dane have you rolling with their - he loves her she loves him his brother loves her all in front of the entire sprawling family treee. all sorts of silliness. Steve Carell as a single dad just had my sides splitting with his interactions with his daughters.

I went to see this in the theatre 12 1/2 times when it came out. I'm a movie junkie & all, but that number is a bit high. I always use the theatre as an escape from the so-called "Real World." I ditched a majority of my freshman year at community college & some of the time was spent in the back rows of the AMC theatre in downtown Chicago. Romance/summer/teen movies is usually what gives me the ultimate escape because of nostalgia for my childhood.

So, it was very easy. In an outdoor scene Steve Carell is in the foreground and behind him, in the background, a bridge. It's the Jamestown Bridge in Rhode Island, where it was known that they had filmed. It's a particular bridge because it rises. The house is located at 109 Melrose Ave Jamestown, Rhode Island. Google Maps will find only an entrance to a private property (south direction - right side). But by the view from above you will understand that it is precisely the same house. Bye.
