[Dan] "It's not a date!" - Sparta Nos AE Remix

After a week or so, I want to reflect on this remix and bring to light what I could have done better. This remix was definitely a learning experience. Maybe I shouldn't have rushed this out like I did and spent time improving the chorus, freestyles, balancing, and other aspects. Just for fun, here are a few flaws I found: - the snare has too much soundgoodizer and sounds too powerful - the 'comic book' pitch doesn't sound good at higher semitones (1:35, 1:44) - the percs could be louder, ESPECIALLY the closed hi-hat - some sentence mixing is quiet (1:37) or sounds a bit off/doesn't blend (0:48, 1:51) - the second chorus sample and the quote overall could have been better. it's also quiet - when there's a lot of pitches and stuff, it sounds cluttered I also feel like I did a few things better in the past, so don't be surprised if my mixes released after this one sound like what I made last year. For example, Melodyne will probably be used again because I feel like I can create better sounding pitches with that. I might also do all of the percussion stuff in Vegas for that reason. I should probably start reflecting more often on these things. Also, new mix coming out... later this month?
