Ruth I’m sure many people want to be millionaires but there are only a few, the difference between being one and wanting to be one is: the one who is - works for it and undertakes responsibility to achieve the goal , the other person is just a wishful thinker.

I don't believe that is what's going on here. Sometimes ppl just need the truth, get over ourselves and be told... we died w/Christ, we no longer live for ourselves. Catering to or pampering the flesh is religion, it is not the gospel. If we truly love people, we will tell them the truth. Truth is what makes them free. We have all experienced some sort of trauma. Grow up, get over it, "forget that which is behind and press forward."

Vital life theme... "One must see in every human being only that which is worthy of praise. When this is done, one can be a friend to the whole human race. If, however, we look at people from the standpoint of their faults, then being a friend to them is a formidable task." ~ ‘Abdu’l-Bahá, Baha'i Faith

Dan gets about 1000 invites a year to preach the word. He has to prayerfully consider which ones to accept. Yes it is shame that people reject his teachings but he doesn't let that bother him he just keeps moving forward. He has alot of followers who appreciate the true gospel. I served under him 20 years ago at a church in York, Pa. My family moved out of the area and we lost contact I found his videos on KZbin and can't get enough of them. My life is totally transformed today Thanks to Dan's teachings.

Adams SIN was a Curse upon ALL YES? BUT IS ADAMS SIN GREATER than the Sacrifice of JESUS which religion says was for only Some who would accept JESUS in this short Life ?. Adam SUCCEEDED in CURSING ALL mankind, Could not GOD IN CHRIST not fulfill his desire to reconcile the whole world (2 Cor 5:19) back to HIMSELF, After all GOD IS ALL LOVING, ALL POWERFUL, ALL WISE, ALL KNOWING & ALL MERCIFUL IS HE NOT? Who has bewitched the body of Christ except satan and traditions of men Romans 11:32 / Revelation 5:13 ALL WORSHIP GOD FOREVER IT SAYS IN ALL BIBLES!! PAULS LETTER TO THE CORINTHIANS : HE CALLS RESTORATION OF ALL THINGS ACTS 3:21 AS IN ADAM ALL DIE AS IN CHRIST ALL LIVE 1 Cor 15. ROMANS 8:18..THE GRACE OF GOD... GOD'S GIFT IS NOT LIKE THE TRESPASS OF MAN.... IF "MANY" OR ALL DIED BY THE TRESPASS OF ADAM..... HOW MUCH MORE... BY GOD'S GRACE.... AND THE "GIFT" THAT CAME BY GRACE... OF THE MAN JESUS CHRIST, ABOUND TO THE MANY /ALL? KJV errors Romans 5:19 ALL SINNED, not many as expressed in KJV and other bibles. ALL MADE RIGHTEOUS... They didn't dare write that down, now did they? WHERE SIN ABOUNDS, GRACE ABOUNDS EVEN MORE!! Berean Study Bible But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God's grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many! Berean Literal Bible But so also the gift is not like the trespass. For if by the trespass of the one, the many died, how much more did the grace of God and the gift in grace, which is of the one man Jesus Christ, abound to the many! Mark 8:18 Berean Literal Bible Having eyes, do you not see? And having ears, do you not hear?' And do you not remember? Be blessed with God's truth, not man's traditions which have errors because of the lack of wisdom The original Hebrew and Greek Texts prove the errors we have had to put up with today.... J PRESTON EBY and ANDRE RABE KZbin... Excellent humble servants of the Lord. Believe the truth and you shall be set free....Amen

@rhyannjoedan 6 жыл бұрын
All of man's sins have been payed for at the cross by Jesus. God sent away man's sins from his presence so now there is peace between man and God through the lord Jesus Christ. that is how God draws men to himself, by his goodness... he made it so any man can receive forgiveness and be transformed then by Gods love and fall in love with him, because it is God's kindness that leads to repentance.... but you must know, not all men will be saved, only those who believe and receive. all have been purchased, but not all have accepted this. remember we still have free will, we can choose to be with God or not, to accept his free gift of salvation or not. God is a gentlemen, he will not force any man to be with him forever, God never controls, he lets us choose. Satan controls through bondage.

I'm not quite halfway through and have a question... sort of. I don't get very far with only the answers to "Why?". It's not until I am doing the "How?" that I see change and growth in the Lord. I knew that unless I was trusting the Lord my professing faith was self-deception, so I asked friends just *how* they trust the Lord in difficult moments. They struggled to put it into words I could understand (I'm Aspie, if that makes a difference) but it came down to mental exercise similar to what I would do physically if I were trying to build certain muscles... Gather worry thoughts, give them to Him, leave them with Him, repeat as often as necessary even if it's every three minutes. It worked. It took months, but the mechanics of trusting God became my first response to temptations to be anxious. (I find I have to continue this type of exercise or those faith muscles get flabby.) He tells, in this video, how to go in prayer to God about trusting my value in Him. My question is... Is there some kind of exercise to keep myself trusting God and having faith in His finished work in me (and in others) that isn't so deliberate that I have to remind myself to do it or have I just neglected to persevere in prayer long and consistently enough to develop my Spiritual muscles ?

Kathryn Arnold I do not know If I catched what you meant (english is not my first language) but I will try. I do not think it is so much about exercising your faith muscle, that it is more about believing the truth which makes you free. When the truth is the foundation in your life, and your perspective is homed on to Jesus, thats freedom. Where do we find Gods love? In the cross! Believe it and go to the secret place and pray knowing that you are loved, get to know Him and fill yourself up with his word and just let Him do what he wants to do in your heart. For us, it is about yielding in that place to the hands of the Potter, he is doing the work. Don't know if this helps. God bless you!

Kathryn Arnold Wow. I'm right where you are mentally! And I have also used the same metaphor; I even tell my children to exercise their "self control muscle". But listening to Dan has rocked my world and caused me to realize that I need much more transformation in my life because I'm still TRYING to love. I'm just learning that I'm supposed to BECOME love. I've started just thanking God, in faith, that Hes changing me from the inside out. I'm spending more time with Him, seeking Him and much less time watching TV or doing other things that waste time. Not because I think those things are wrong, but because I realize how much I need to be in His presence so He can help me see differently and impart truth in me. I'm gonna keep you lifted, my sister. Please keep me lifted too!

Delainna Batoon - Good point to emphasize gratitude for the finished work. In the six years since I've made this commitment I've entirely abandoned TV and most all entertainment that doesn't help me remain focused on this heavenly journey. I have several alarms that sound daily on my phone to remind me to pray for either specific persons or for categories of persons. I must add one for those of us who are hungry and determined to continually seek God's face.

He is good but people are broken and our spiritual growth is a journey. Yes he preaches the GOAL but God uses people to help us heal sometimes, otherwise we would be saved without hearing the gospel from men-it’s God’s means. . Even his own disciples took time to grow. The word of God heals but it takes time for people to read it all. He says he’s not insensitive but he very much is. He would be super good if he understood that God made our brains to become wired in our upbringing and traumas, and renewing the mind takes time! Yes God heals and grows us but it’s a journey, otherwise we wouldn’t need to hear him preach.
@zephyr834
@zephyr834 6 жыл бұрын
Hi Laura, I think there's a misunderstanding with what he is saying or maybe he didn't dive into this as much as you wanted due to time. I've listened to Dan for over two years now and can say he is very compassionate and understanding, but he is not sentimental. There's a difference. Yes the renewing of the mind takes time and healing isn't always instant in our journeys. What he is preaching relating to that is true healing comes from communion with God and understanding of the truth. If you listen to him you'll find this is the biggest thing he emphasizes because this is a relationship, not a formula. We were made for community for sure, but many people are waiting for a special "touch" of God to get the same revelations or freedom from their past. We may not feel free from our past but we are if we understand the truth of being a new creation. What I love about Dan's teachings is he shows what relationship and communion with God looks like which many people don't have or know and end up going to people to get a "word" from the Lord or prayer. There's nothing wrong with receiving prayer but it becomes a problem if we have to go to people to "feel" better year after year with no real healing. Hopefully I'm clear and feel free to comment back.

Laura Bender Dan is not preaching the goal, he is preaching the answer. We think we need inner healing because we don’t truly believe. True faith leads to transformation and transformation is true healing. Paul didn’t need inner healing. He wrote that he forgot what lay behind in order to press forward in faith.

He's not insensitive, he's preaching the truth. It is true that we grow, but that isn't a justification for unforgiveness. God didn't create our mind to be wired to be hurt and only act because of our past, thats the carnal flesh. We cannot dwell on sin, we must dwell on the truth. People may have been hurt from the past but Christ came to set us free from it's bondage. Bless you.
