I agree as a stitt fanatic.His tenor work is original and stands out more .Not to diminish his great alto work.

Stitt was Michael Jordan on the bandstand. Talked more smack to players than any player possibly in history. Gotta love the guy regardless. Stitt’s somewhat famous quote, to those who knew him, “there are no friends on the bandstand”
