Dan's lingcod, Evening tide May 6th. It took 7 drifts to get this one, 35 minutes.

I had to work the tide for this one, It was running different down deep then the top. this was the only bite I had in 7 drifts I think they just started to bite. The tide was still 1 hour 45 minutes away.
I knew what was coming at me that rain, I was watching the weather radar at home.
I figured I could beat the rain and wind and barely did. I was happy with what I got.

Yes I am fishing possession bell to Scatchet head bell buoy. I use live Herring if possession bait got them they don't yet so shiner perch I jig. Thanks for watching and commenting🎣

Hi Dan. Ya know if you cut out the cod tongue, score it and pan fry it in butter salt and pepper it's like a scallop. We grew up eating them Now they are Michelin dishes in restaurants that go for up to $100 per tongue in an entre.

Hey Dan, I was out on Saturday got one keeper and one oversize between 3 people in morning, are evening bites ok? Because I’m seeing that morning shows pretty strong currents until afternoon it slows down so I’m planning to head out on Saturday afternoon. Will bite still be good in afternoon ?

It will be incoming all evening tell 9:39 pm. If it was me 2 hours before low that's at 1:51 pm. -2.5 and 1 hours after low. It's gonna be coming in fast tell about 8:00 pm. Middle of the day would be best. Now will the bite be good it could if you keep your lines strait down, but it's going to be some work by back trolling to slow you down. Thanks for commenting🎣.

I like the cheap knifes easy to sharpen I've never bought one I always find them on my beach, I think this one comes from Walmart like $5.00. And my sharpener I'm sure it's in one of my old videos it's yellow and the brand is Smith's. Thanks for commenting🎣

I'm going in a friends boat tomorrow a KZbinr is picking me up for low tide. And this nice weather I'm going to be looking for herring around the low tides. next few days hopefully I'll get some then I'll have time to go fishing again. Thanks foe commenting🎣

I fish from Possession to scatchet head bell buoy in 20' to 75' of water. Find any structure. And if you get rockfish your in a good area because lingcod eat them. Thanks for commenting🎣
