This is where you point people when they start telling you Zuffa saved UFC. UFC was saved when they finally hit the mainstream with SpikeTV. The previous owners tried to get UFC on Showtime, HBO, anywhere they could, and nobody would bite because it was seen as too barbaric. The reality show definitely gave them a boost, but the biggest thing was getting on TV when "TV for Men" was invented.

MoMac Bridge well If zuffa didn't spend the money and kept the UFC going even though they were losing money, then how would that night on spike TV would've happened? Don't be so sure to just say zuffa didn't save the ufc. They did alot.

The Ultimate Fighter was really the catalyst for UFC's turn-around though. It was fun, entertaining, the fights ranged from crappy to outstanding & it brought more eyes to the product than it had in a long, long time. Then they'd play fight promos during the broadcast show those fights afterward & things took off. If TUF hadn't blown up the way it did in it's inaugural season, the MMA landscape would most likely be far different than it is today.

The UFC was $43 million in debt prior to the Ultimate Fighter turned it around. It wasn’t anywhere near $200 million.

It seems that Dan basically was positive on Dana, but it wasn't clear. He wasn't really stating an opinion, just basic biography of Dana and Zuffa, stuff that is widely known. Kind of a pointless video. I do like your channel, though.

I think Dan made a very classy choice here. It's really not a secret who D.W is.

Dan usually doesn't talk down about people. You may find an example here or there, but I don't remember him ever going in on someone. Plus, I don't think Dan ever worked under the Zuffa banner. They inducted him into the UFC Hall of Fame & he may have done a couple media things for them, but he was never a contracted fighter with Zuffa.

They were on Spike and then went to FS1 which was great cause they always had entertaining stuff. Then ESPN must have made them a big money offer and I don't watch that commie network so that was a loss for me. I had gotten used to the FS1 schedule, I think Wednesday's and one or two of the weekend nights. I'd be happy if they moved on from ESPN.
