The first time I heard this song I was being driven by my then boyfriend, now fiance, to my Nana who had just passed away. Unfortunately, I Only Knew My Mom's Mom. My Dad's Mom Died In 1995 From A Heart Attack At 65, So I Was Very Lucky To Have At Least 1 Of My Grandma's To Be There For Me For 19 Years. I Know That She Is In A Better Place And That It Has Become An Eternal Heaven For Her. I Still Miss Her Everyday. This Song Was Played At Her Funeral Calling Hours Because Of It's Melancholy. I’m so sorry😭 I know how you feel! My dads dad died before I was born, so I only have ever known one grandpa. My dads mom died when I was 8 from colon cancer. So most of my life I’ve only known my maternal grandparents . My maternal grandparents are both still with us but my grandpa is of very poor health and we don’t know how much longer we will have him around. It makes me so sad to think about because my grandparents are the glue of the family if they go, the family will be completely torn apart, we are already hanging on by a thread, too many things have happened in the past that we can’t have family functions anymore. And sadly that’s what my grandpa wants is for everyone to be together, I’m sure that’s one of his final wishes to have all his kids/grandkids/great grandkids together but it’ll never happen 😞😞 my dads side of the family I am used to not having family dinners or anything. When my grandma died there was a fight over her belongings, my dads brother and sister didn’t speak to one another for over 8 years, when their oldest brother died from a heart attack. 😞 it’s true what people say, make amends and get together now, don’t wait until “the funeral” sadly that’s what it’s gonna take to get my moms family together and very sad, probably not even then, there’s some of my cousins with so much anger and hatred in their hearts, pent up anger for at least 7 years. My moms siblings get along together fine, it’s the cousins who can’t be all together because of a huge fight that broke out, and many more fights have happened since then :( idk why I went off on this rant but imma miss my grandparents when they’re gone! 😞
