@@jish55 Yes exactly not to mention, Roseanne treated Dan HORRIBLY too in the original show as well and I hated that, not saying that Dan didn't make mistakes or was perfect, but seriously. Louise is perfect for Dan and they are calm together and have great chemistry, they just work well and Louise fits so well into the family like she's always been there and she and Dan really love and care about each other. I'm so excited they are engaged and going to be married soon.

That's what I always thought was pretty desperate and off and making little sense. It's also unrealistic for anyone in her position to expect much change from someone who's lived the life Dan's had. I know their town is small but she travels for her band. She's finally ready to get married and she insists on someone like dan, in the situation he is in with 40 year old kids and grandkids moving back to the house? The writing is desperate. They could've made her backstory different to seem more buyable. A guy drowning in debt in his sitch AND it's someone who has such an irreplaceable history with his wife he loved so dearly... Not wise to touch that with a 10 foot pole, as much as I adore Dan!

Although, it is weird to see Dan Conner with a different woman I guess if they had to Katey Sagal is the way to go. She was kinda the original wild housewife. Although debuting just a year before Roseanne with Married with Children, she already knew how to act in a strange relationship. And I get that it is a show and relationships especially on TV must move on. Because it is hard to do a show with one person. But in real life and how many years he was with Roseanne he moved on quickly. I was watching an episode from season 1 of Roseanne. Where Roseanne's friend Crystal can't move on from a relationship. And Roseanne and Dan really showed their love for each other in that episode. It was hard to watch. It hard to watch the first series period now. Knowing how the people who knew she was not Racist turned their backs on her first. I get they did that out of concern for the show. But it really hurt her that they all turned Against her and won't have anything to do with her to this day. They of all people should know she is not like that. How many episodes did she do Against race crimes? But Roseanne Barr and political correctness don't go together in the same world. That is why I hate PC. It started out sounding right but I knew from the very beginning it is a way of destroying free speech and it has. Not mixing What she said with free speech but I had a feeling the show would clash with free speech. It still can. It is not just Roseanne but the whole Conner Family. In fact one of the first episodes of the 10 the season had to do with PC. And it is one of the things wrong with this new generation. But Roseanne and her generation has had to become tougher too. I remember on the original series she beats herself up for spanking DJ. Because at the time their was abuse going on in the form of discipline. But that was also around the beginning of PC. It started with how you can discipline your child. I wonder if Roseanne could go back if she would of done that episode. It is one of my least favorites. Because even the Bible says if you don't spank your child you hate them. Because they will turn up worse. And so will the situation. So when she did that episode she was doing it from the position of the child. And confusing spanking and beating and there is a difference. Because I see it alot. I have seen people who were abused as children and they would either repeat the situation which is wrong or they won't punish at all which is wrong. No a child does not need to be beaten but to me they do need spanking and there is a huge difference. Today's world doesn't see it so they have you sit in the corner and think about it. That doesn't work for anyone I have seen use it. But if you can make it work great. Punishment of children will always be a touchy area. How is it done and so forth. But abuse or no discipline is the worst. Roseanne who felt bad about spanking DJ had a different approach season 10. She believed in spanking and not in sitting in the corner and thinking about it. That is all I was pointing out. I rather be right then political correct.
