Not that much textures/post fx going on, should be alrightish.

@@TheBramVC It's a fractal mess, so it's not 3D or anything. The 2nd sequence took me two weeks to render because I used a super high value for some special parameter. My CPU was ready to melt polar caps, tbh. What you see is a fractal animation but it's no 3D. It's just composed of a multitude of a multitude of a multitude of the same "shape" to create different shapes. CPU hell, really.

@@danterminus Ah ok, my bad, haha! I can imagine that it was rather insane with that in mind. I'm already getting nervous breakdowns when an Octane render crashes after 6 hours -_- Ever tried cloud rendering? I did it when I just got started, spent a couple of 100 bucks on shit designs just because I was excited :D That aside: Killer work, as always! Ps: If you want to see fractal HELL I guess you already know Meshuggah's 'Clockworks' video? Insaaaane as well!

@@danterminus If you use a GPU, it would render this so much faster. i played around with fractals before that was able to use openCL, and my HD 7970 was able to render in real time. Fractals use very little memory so are perfect for GPUs and i plan to revisit fractals later on. The actual fractal itself uses very little CPU and memory, but rendering it graphically is what you need computational power for.

In video shows very beautiful formulas of fractals.

1 year rendering this and 2 years making the album, now it makes sense. If something, Dan don't only melted cpus but also is melting us with the whole album, i kinda like the new different approach.

Reminds me about some bizzare techno or euro-dance clips from late 90s or early 2000s that I saw on tape.

Oh my god yes, the 90's are coming back into music. You guys should link up Dan with Mothership Loudspeakerz, that would be a glorious display of bass.

Definitely an odd direction to take for his music, but I'm holding out some hope that the rest of the songs will deliver on more of his strengths.
