I am almost 75 andI never liked metal music either, but after finding Dan, I learned that not all metal is people screaming into microphones and non-music. I have learned a lot by following him and have found that metal singers have powerful voices and (believe it or not) lots of them can actually sing.

Fun fact! Metal is determined by the heaviness of the guitar in the music and is identified by the insane riffs that surpass those of rock. What you thought was metal is a sub class if you will, called screamo and the ones that are only screaming is called Death metal or black metal. Most bands people think are rock are actually metal😊

Hello there New acquaintance. My husband and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS COVER of our Beloved Amazing Grace. My husband is 77 and I am 60. And because we Enjoy watching the reactions to those who are hearing Mr. Vasc’s cover version for the first time, we have now found you. As you stated, you Appreciate the song already and know that someone can mess it up, we to have the same appreciation. Many years ago I was taught the history of the hymn in order to know, it’s life changing backstory. The moment I heard Mr. Vasc version, I deeply felt it was for him to present it to the world at this time in history. I totally agree! I have always loved the song but was never moved by it as I was when I heard Dan sing it. I too am 60, I was never fond of metal, but wow, I'm so proud of this young man...his timing to release this couldn't have been better. This world is truly in need of a reminder of God's amazing grace!

Dan Vasc has a God given talent. He sang this song the way it was meant to be sung with such respect, emotion & with a powerful impact. I felt the presence of God. God bless Dan Vasc for sharing his talent & this video with the world! 💕🎶✝️🎶💕

Dan Vasc, (full name Daniel Vasconcelos) is Brazilian, and the absolute best voice I've heard in yonks. He covers everything from metal to movie tunes to opera. Having trained for many years to perfect and protect that glorious voice, I don't think there is much that Dan can't sing. He has a metal band, "Fearless" which consists of two friends, Gabriel and Gio, and his brother Davi, plus a side project with Gabriel, "Spyglass Inn" which is mostly acoustic/folk style music. There's a video floating around of Dan and Gabe doing "Eye Of The Tiger" with just the two of them sitting on the couch with a guitar and tamborine... very very nicely done, it really shows the purity of their voices... My favourite covers that Dan has done are "Dr Stein", "Dr Feelgood", "Bring Me To Life", "Kiss From A Rose", a duet with Violet Orlandi... it'll blow ya socks off...😁 🙃🐨🇦🇺

Metal music has many sub-genres. Symphonic metal for instance uses more classical trained vocalists with amazing range. Dan is extremely talented, please check out his cover of "Bring me to life"

Dan is the man!! Never have I heard a more beautiful and masterful performance of this old timeless hymn! And I grew up in church. My father was a Pastor (still is at age 78!) I'm a PK (Preacher's Kid) and have suggested this and heard it probably thousands of times throughout my lifetime. The harmonica gets me every single time because my beloved Granny played it beautifully. I want this version at my funeral!! Can't wait to sing with him in Heaven!! God bless you and all who hear it! Great reaction, and oh yes, you'll find lots of really interesting stuff from him. He does everything from Christmas songs in latin, to serious opera, and broadway musical songs, and pop/rock covers from the likes of Elvis, Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga, Bon Jovi, Toto, Queen, Adele etc, to the real heavy metal stuff. have been listening to his cover for a couple of months now and boy oh boy. He just "sprinkles" the metal in appropriate places. He is a Christian from Brazil. The harmonica is brilliant, it gives it a Celtic feel. I live down the street from a Catholic Church and I hear this song on the bagpipes often. Also, for myself and many others, who are recovering from addictive disorders in 12 Step programs we revere this song. Whether we are religious or not. It's about salvation. Blessings...

Hi Dazza, His Last note was held for 23 seconds without a breath. Angelina Jordan held her note in her cover of Id rather go blind for 17 seconds without a breath at age 12. So hes the angelina jordan of breath control. The best version of Amazing grace i have ever heard in my life . perfect arrangement of Everything. God Bless Dazz.

Daniel sang this song the way it was meant to be sung, forever. It is a testimony to the evolution of faith: at the beginning we see the reverent shyness of a recent convert and at the end we see the joy of the son who - recognized and accepted - gratefully throws himself into the Father's arms. Dan is a musical genius - he takes any song he wants and turns it into something better. He becomes the song he sings. He commented that as his faith grew stronger, he began to choose his versions more carefully so that he could bring people only high vibrations of joy, hope, real power and gratitude. Hi Daz, nice you found Dan(niel) Vasc(onzales), isn't he amazing? I discovered him a few weeks ago, also with this song, meanwhile a checked a couple of his other songs as well and so far he never disappointed me... If you want to watch something completely mindblowing watch his cover of Handel's (Georg Friedrich Händel) Hallelujah choir (from The Messiah), Dan sings the whole choir, you'll get to see a split screen with 24 versions of Dan singing all the voices of the choir, he recorded them one after another and put them all together at the end... Imagine the amount of time and dedication this required... and it sounds great, Dan can sing anything from Bass over Baritone to Soprano, and he does it with style and grace... An you might also be interested to check the two Elvis covers he did, "An American Trilogy" (very emotional, he sung it for his dad who had passed away and was a huge fan of Elvis, it was his dad who gave Dan as a child the harmonica you saw him playing in this reaction...) The other one is "Love Me Tender" (orchestral), also very beautiful and with another emotional backstory wgich Dan tells us before he starts to sing... You have a nice ebvening and enjoy it, peace and love from Bavaria!

​@@grandy2875 actually Vasconselos is a Portuguese name from old Spanish origin dating back to the twelfth century, most likely from Basconcillos a habitational name from a place called Basconcillos in Burgos. That family name has a Crest including also royalty and knights'. Dan's bio says his father's name was not revealed? But his mom's maiden and last name stated Oliveira Vasconselos. ❤

When he pulled out the harmonica 🤯 he took me by surprise as well. I don’t have a heavy metal suggestion but I recently saw a cover that left me speechless. Kasey Chamber’s who I had never heard of covered Eminem’s Lose Yourself is incredible. I saw it floating around for a while before curiosity got the best of me. Best Eminem cover I have ever heard.😊

When dan says heavy metal hes refering to people like skid row, dio, iron maiden and the like not five finger death punch, lamb of god or your more heavy distortion singer...any song of his is good find something you know the listen to his version his cover of steppenwolf born to be wild is 10x better than the original imo
