No apologizes, Your emotions deserve to be seen. And it's really nice that you have your wife to help you get back into life. Dan vasc knows what depression is and he brings up emotions with his beautiful voice and empathy, precisely to feel and deal with them. A hug for you.

Dan does a phenomenal job on this, of course. Another great Evanescence song is his cover of My Immortal. Thank you for your reaction to Dans powerful video. Your comments put new meaning to Dan's arrangement and I truly love your sincerity in telling us about your PTSD and the wonderful role your wife has in your life. Dan has suffered from depression and several of his videos are tributes to fellow artists and his emotions are shown as well. When you and Dan allow your listeners, who are strangers and neither family nor friends, to witness your pain or joy your humanity is showing. I applaud you both for your trust in us to understand how important music is as a healing element that can make our hearts sing. I'm from Australia and have service personnel in family and friends and can empathise with you. I subbed when you reacted to AG. Dan's music has the power to uplift.

My son ..a Marine..had 2 tours in Iraq and 1 in Afghanistan. How can anyone go to war and not be effected. You Sir are in my prayers. Thank you for ur review. Dan Vasc is the best singer out there. Any song he covers is better than the originals. Bring me to life is my favorite of his because it showcases his many amazing ranges. If you have not listen to Dan sing ZOMBIE...U should..a song that means alot to him and to myself as I cry for it reminds me of a man going into the service as a child and coming out as a man..a man going to war and coming out changed and what a mother feels. The 1st casualty of war is our innocence. First Please let me command you On Finishing this video. I was so moved by your reaction. Thank you for your service. Never ever ever apologized For your emotions. Emotions should not be hidden. Emotions Give us our humanity. By You completing this reaction you have put a face to a Horrific disease. I hope you realize just how many people You have touched in in 1148: minutes. It May seem cliche But you have not only given a name and a face to PTSD. I'm all too familiar with being numb or dead Inside. The world has no color, no smell, no color, food has no taste. Things that brought you pleasure no longer do. It is awful thing to have to battle you're mind on a daily basis. It takes a great deal of strength, stamina, courage. I found a quote That Fits PTSD to a tee but also depression. They said, "That was a long time ago". In reality it is still happening. My depression and my addiction (5 years, 9 months, 1 day clean and sober) Battle daily for "Possession of my soul". Somewhere Between These 2 monsters lies me. Sadly, most days I don't live I exist. I move through life but I am not a part of life. Nietzsche says that if you stare into the abyss the abyss will stare back. Hell isn't fire in brimstone devil and torture, hell is in abyss without Hell isn't fire in brimstone devil and torture, hell is in abyss without sensation or end. Although I live on the edge of that abyss Try so very hard to Try so very hard not to look into it. Somedays I Some days I may lose the battle But I am always winning the war just as you are my friend. You may be interested in disturbs official lyric video of a reason to fight As it addresses Both Both of monsters We have to live with everyday.

I was here at the time of your reaction and meant to comment but here I am😉 I'm South African and we, as a nation went through a long period where our men, young and older were sent to defend our borders. It was always nerve racking as it was an extremely intense war. I've met so many of these men who have never been the same again. Ofcourse PTSD presents itself for many different reasons. I lost my son in a car accident and I don't have PTSD but it definitely affects you forever as part of me died. He Lord carries me through every day. Thankyou for sharing and being "man enough" to show your feelings, big ups to you! God Bless and lottsa love

You have nothing to be sorry for, sir. Thank you for sharing how this song has affected you. One really interesting thing that I don't know if you have ever heard, is why Amy Lee wrote the song in the first place. She has said that she was in a terribly-abusive relationship with a man, and she was functioning on the edge of a total breakdown. One day there was one of the people in her creative team (I can't remember exactly what he was doing for the group, but that's not really important.) He gave her a ride to a place they had to be one day, and as they were riding in the car, he asked her, straight out, "Amy...are you happy?" She then broke down and shared with him the things that had been happening in her life, that she hadn't shared with anyone. From that point in time, he began to counsel her and help her get through it all, to the point where she was finally able to release the other guy. That man who helped her, all those years ago, has now been her husband for a long time, and they are very happy (from what I've read, that she has shared). That's who the song was written for, in the hopes that it would also help others who found themselves in a similar situation to what she had been through. Viking Reacts recently put together a mash-up of Dan singing the song, and Amy Lee singing the song. It's his third such mash-up in the last few months. He's very good with it. You can check his channel for his "fan projects," to watch them. I think you will enjoy them. They are superb, and they give you a really good picture about how carefully Dan studies out the songs he sings, and why he's so successful with them. In this case, the mash-up will probably make you cry even more, because the video he used from Amy Lee's performances of the song is already a tear-jerker. - - - - - - - - - - Also...my dad was a part of the first troops who went overseas for WW2. At barely 18, he was in the mechanized and medical infantry unit that followed General Patton everywhere. He was also one of the last soldiers who didn't come home until after being part of "the occupation" in Italy. One of the greatest things I value about him, was that he spent the energy and time to teach us (his children) about the things that we now find ourselves fighting, right here in the U.S., that must be ousted. Back when he first came home, nobody had a clue about PTSD or anything like that. He ended up with alcohol problems, but there came a time when he overcame that (a long story, concerning my mom's love and stubbornness, and her great love for him). Still...he passed away at age 54, in 1973. By that time, he had finally been at peace with himself, in his life, but the stress had already grasped his body. He was one of the best men I have ever known. Not too long before he passed on, I had married a man with similar problems. His service time was in Viet Nam, where he was in the Big Red One. In one battle, his APC was blown up, and he took a load of shrapnel at the back of his neck. He also came home with an alcohol problem, and a lot of physical pain as well. There was an episode at one point, when I was pregnant with our fourth child, where one night (when he was still in the army, up in Anchorage, Alaska) when the shrapnel pulled some nasty tricks on him, and he almost died. He was rushed to the Elmendorf AF Hospital, and they were able to get most of the junk out of there without making things worse. Unfortunately, he still fights some of that pain to this day. He also ran away from our family a few years later, divorcing me and ending up married again shortly thereafter. He's still alive, but he's never been able to get through the pain and the emptiness. He does spend some time with his kids (the ones who live near him in Washington State), but it's very difficult for them and him, both. He's not a bad man, but...yeah...life has not been easy for him since that military stint. I'm really glad that Dan's music (and music in general) has helped you. Even without all of that piled up on me, STILL...music has always been my LIFE. Listening to Dan is very therapeutic for me (and a ton of others), as well. Thank you for this precious reaction. 😀

@@ddperks1131 you never have to apologise for being human and have an emotional reaction. It proves that you have a big heart and after what you have gone through you are entitled to feel how you feel. If you can make a viewer cry then you have done a good job with your reactions.

I love your reaction to this song. Music and lyrics are so important and very emotional to me. The words to this song are so meaningful. Dan make the cover of the song his own and he made it even better than the original.

This reaction video is melt-your-heart worthy, brother!!!! ❤️🥲I cried right with you. I loved your comments and transparency….it means you are sharing from your heart and soul. I honor you for that and I honor you for your heroic service to our nation, and the sacrifice of dedication you paid heavily for. You are not alone, and many stand right with you. I am grateful for all you’ve done as a selfless act of love and service. I know it was costly to you in many ways. I pray that all PTSD, stress, trauma, and painful memories get washed off of you, in Jesus’ name! May you be made completely whole and well in spirit, soul, and body. May peace, comfort and exceedingly glad JOY flood you like never before!!! ❤️🕊 Thank you for showing love and support to Beloved Dan….The Treasure From Brazil!!! 🇧🇷🔥🔥❤️😁 #hailvascnation❤️ #hailtothemightymenofvalor⚔️❤️

I so appreciate your reaction. There's no need to apologize for the way this song (or any other) hits you. This song hits me in a similar fashion, though for different reasons. New subscriber here. Didn't realize you did a week of Dan Vasc reactions. Absolutely love his amazing talent. I'll have to go check out your other reactions.

Hi, thank you for this reaction to Dan, please don’t apologize for your emotions. I wonder if you have heard of EFT (emotional freedom techniques)? If not, I would suggest you read about it and give it a try to help you let go of the trauma

This is what I refer to as the Nefertiti song. See, in old Egypt, if the major priesthoods didn't like you, they made sure your name was obliterated everywhere. If the gods can't read your name, your SOUL is bound to your crumbling corpse. No Heaven, no after life. In old Egypt, there was no worse punishment.
