I agree with what you said about the church. It is hard to find a good one now adays, and I have been blessed to have found one. My opinion: We are all born into sin and need a Savior, Jesus Christ. When we stray from our relationship with God doing what we want when we want (sin), it is our guilt and shame that makes us us feel abandoned. God never abandons us! We walk away from Him. The great thing about God is that he is there waiting and ready to respond when we just ask His forgiveness.
