Dana 30 - DIY 1 ton OTK steering setup!

In this episode I try to explain what a 1-ton steering is, what the benefits are and what to think of when doing this on your Jeep.
How to ream the knuckles for a over the knuckle setup (OTK) and show you step-by-step how to make a one piece tie rod with 1-ton ends on a Dana 30 front axle.
This steering setup will apply on Jeep Wrangler TJ, YJ, Cherokee XJ and Grand Cherokee ZJ.

Excellent information. Buy a lift before you land up in surgery and can't go wheeling with your Jeep due to back problems.

Haha Thats a good advice 😅 I have an engine hoist but my garage is too small to fit it while The jeep is in there. A good reason to build a proper size garage though 👍🏻

Borde man inte kunna köra med den långa leden i båda ändar så får man bättre frigång mot fälgen? 🤔🙂

Jo det borde man 😄 visserligen blir de isf gängade åt båda håll så när man vill justera toe så får man ta bort ena sidan och justera. Men annars funkar det 👍🏻

It may just be location and availability, but I can't see spending that much time and money on a Dana 30. I'd start with a 44 or 60 if I was going to do anything to it.

You are correct. 44s and 60s are very rare and expensive to find here in Sweden. The purpose with this XJ was 33s and light offroad. Thats Why I kept the turdy :)
