Same here, he will always be the best superman to me, no matter how many new movies they've made and continue to make.

Carvey is one of the all-time greats. The guy is so versatile, from impressions to his musical comedy, on and on it goes...he's just so plain d*mned funny. How many people could come on a talk show like that and be even half as funny or entertaining?

What a talent that guy is - I have to watch him in small doses or I'll hurt myself laughing!

Wow, McCartney, Hepburn and Stewart all in one appearance. And then the Church Lady chews out Christopher Reeve for wearing his Superman costume? Awesome.

Wow. That is epic. Dana with Chris and Johnny.

This should have a lot more hits. This is as hilarious as the day it was first on TV. Except for the bit about colorization nothing is dated here. Carvey could do the same routine today and no one would know it was old material.

He still looks young for his age. He's 61 and I never guessed it

This is possibly Dana's first tonight show appearance. This must be from 1986 or early 1987, since Dana mentions he his 31. He started on SNL in 86, which is pretty much when he got famous. I think I've heard him mention in a interview that he couldn't get on the tonight show just as a stand up comic, before his SNL days.

Dana's recent bit about his Dad always disagreeing and telling Dana he doesn't know anything. For instance Dana can say, "I am cold". His says, "I don't get cold. You are an idiot. You have to dress in layers". The older I get the more I am like Dad. I've got three tops and two bottoms on. I have two pairs of socks. Layers People!!!!

A funny interview. The only thing I took exception to was when Carvey made Reeve the butt of one of his jokes about "street people not being particularly articulate. And Chris was that person " Cheap shot.
