lol, I don't know which video or comment, but someone told me about "mma fighting", a channel Ariel runs here on youtube that had some more recent videos. Shame he abandoned his original youtube channel without announcing on that channel where he was going, but at least he's still on here. There's a really great interview with Rory Mcdonald on there. Thoroughly enjoyed.

Arlovski does have really crisp boxing. It's kinda crazy how JDS has been able to impose his boxing on tons of guys when the UFC heavyweight division has never been stronger. Maybe part of it is that the wrestlers have squandered their opportunities with him. But there's something to be said for fighters who always figure out how to win and keep their game plan in tact. I mean, when Rodgers took AA out, I don't think that was a chin issue; I think anybody would go down from a combo like that.

actually Zuffa (the UFC) is responsible for all the production on Fox events. So it was a choice Dana and the Fertidas made, to have that music and the robot fighter guys similar to the NFL guys. Personally, idk if I like it or not. It doesn't bother me though.

Well, your opinion of these fighters is obvious in your nicknames for them. Don't think I'd have enough space to give an adequate response. I'm extremely impressed with a guy who has 9 consecutive wins in the UFC heavyweight division and has never been in trouble. Not too many human beings could do that. Aside from Fedor, a guy whom people either praise or shit on (he's my personal fav) what heavyweights have truly impressed you in this sport?

I'm actually more interested in JDS vs Cain because I think the fight would last longer, and Cain hopefully wouldn't waste time dancing with JDS, shoot, and then we could see JDS off his back or maybe in trouble. It's fun to see JDS knock guys out, but none of the wrestlers or BJJ artists have tested him yet; they've all squandered their opportunities by trying to go toe to toe with him.

Actually, now that you mention it, I do think Dana exaggerates and has a bit of a bias despite his claims to the contrary. He would say that Fedor didn't fight guys like Gonzaga, who was one of the best heavyweights in the world, and then Dana cut him. Werdum was "a guy who couldn't make it in the UFC," even though he was doing pretty well, and didn't renew his contract, only to bring him back where he's won twice.

As much as I want to see JDS vs Overeem, champions picking their fights is a terrible precedent to set. It's understandable with Anderson, but JDS should still be fighting whoever is put in front of him. If JDS fights Overeem, the UFC is obviously making fights that make sense for the business and not the sport.

Well, if 2 powerful strikers throw down, there's a good chance the fight won't go the distance and somebody will get knocked out. That's why everyone was stunned when the JDS vs Carwin fight went the distance. But if Cain roughs Junior up against the cage, maybe takes him down, and they grind for awhile, unless Cain cuts him like he did Bigfoot, or unless JDS snatches a limb and submits Cain, it stands to reason that the fight would last longer. Cain won't be dumb enough to dance a 2nd time.

i hear what your saying there, but did you ask the question? if what you say is correct why didint the journalist asking the question elaborate? the way he said it, it sounded pretty one dimensional dont you think? but yeah i highly doubt they would wait till after the fight to release drug test results, espcially if BJ stipulated it as a prerequisite. Otherwise the commencment of the fight on the card would be pointless.

I know where the 'money' can come from, I just find it funny how his fight contract was for only 50,000 on the biggest fight in revenue for the UFC. I'm sure he got alot from the UFC in their undisclosed bonuses for ppv buys. Dana White admits to paying fighters this but says that part is private and doesn't disclose those numbers.

Agree with Dana's reason 100% for why he gave it to Machida. Machida wants Jones bad. Been following BlackHouseMMA on facebook and he's in there every day training hard. The guys he's been training with over the last 3 months are better than most of the guys Jones has beat. Machida's camp also says they think they found a huge hole in Jones' game and that the next fight will be "very different"... Dragon is back baby

I think Cain and Overeem are the only dudes with a legit chance of beating JDS. Cain because hes not coming off a long lay off, its not an excuse but having a year out and coming back against someone as good as JDS was never going to be easy. Overeem because of his sheer power, striking and hes got legit submission game. I would love to see JDS and Overeem. Crazy Punches vs Crazy Kicks and Knees. Overeem can punch but not like JDS. Dont be surprised to see Cain win the title back though

Well it is a legit question because they volunteer to have their drug test release prior to the fight when usually it doesn't come out until after the fight for good reasons so the fight can still be on but nevermind now since Rory cut himself to avoid the drug test and the fight.

And it's telling that you would discredit his Shogun win, but completely fail to acknowledge the controversial 'loss' to Rampage, who was visibly shocked when his own name was announced. Ryan Bader (who just beat Rampage) is ranked #5-6. Machida dominated him and knocked him out with ease. That's how he's ranked in the top five.
