Unbelievable. When it started I thought he looked slow on the feet and awkward and thought Gane was going to piece him up. Then he pulls that off. It was interesting that he picked it straight away that he wasn’t right on the feet after the win. Used what was working to win. The GOAT.

Does Rakhmonov get 100k and Neal 50k? How does that work? Cause with Neal being technically ineligible, Rakhmonov should get the full 100k for FOTN. But since Dana is paying Neal anyway, does Rakhmonov get fucked?

@@magshype did you not hear Ciryl's interview? He said Jon wasn't under the chin and when he let go he thought he was going for a different position. Honestly a pretty lame mistake, but he didn't foresee the right hand sweeping under to lift the chin as Jon gave him a distraction shot with the left just to slice back beneath the chin for the guillotine. They were on the wrong camera angle live during the fight, so we all missed the nuance of the readjustment the first go round

Jon made it look easy... Gane fought the cream of the crop in the heavyweight division and looked horrible against Jon... He's the GOAT, no question. YEah but we found out gane is lazy and plays videogames during training and also got koed by ngannou in sparring. Seems he was over hyped and was no way ready for Jon Jones. Also UFC kept him away from wrestlers for a reason. The real tests for jones were Ngannou(Hope we get that) and a healthy Stipee who has best DC easier than Jones and clean and koed DC easier as well. What do you think Kevin. @@CarRamrod1 myself and a lot of others disagree. I think fighters are paid plenty. but I do think they should have paid health insurance from the UFC...
@Matt-cr4vv
@Matt-cr4vv Жыл бұрын
We don’t really know what the fighters get paid. None of the purses are publicly disclosed anymore for the most part. And even then it was misleading because there’s a lot of backend that gets tossed in that never gets disclosed. For example, DC has told a story that after the first Jones fight when he lost Dana called him a day or two after the fight and said he’d done such a good job he was sending him $1M. This was when his contract called for him to be paid $80K to show and $80K to win. Or there’s examples like when he gave Liddell a job making $400K to not fight. There are lots of stories out there of Dana paying guys well over what is ever disclosed on the back end. As for the health insurance that’s another issue. UFC covers the cost of injuries in training camp or a fight so that’s a solid thing. Obviously it would be nice for full coverage but that’s tough too. Such as would a company even write a plan for fighters considering how they’re guaranteed to have medical costs? It’s something the NFL union has spoken about too. They offer insurance until people are five years out of ten league. And they want lifetime insurance but they’ve said that outside of the immense cost of such a plan that they couldn’t been find a company who would guarantee a policy to last for life for players because of how risky it is. That’s a very real consideration outside of the easy “ufc is just greedy” mantra. Ufc gets a lot of flack largely because of what people see in boxing pay for the big name fighters. The issue is that money isn’t uniform. The big names make a fortune but everyone else makes Pennie’s. Look at how low paid the other guys on those cards are compared to the main event who get the giant purse. The average pay for a UFC fighter is about $40K more a year than the average boxer. It just gets seen differently because people lock in on the big numbers some guys get and forget that this is far from then norm for the sport as a whole.

We’ve been saying all week he was going to make it look easy. Jones has amazing wrestling and grappling and now he’s even stronger than before. Gane one of the biggest prospects in the whole sport? Not at all. Maybe in heavyweight before Francis but he was totally exposed in that match and showed he’s one dimensional. He’s 33 next month so his wrestling will never be much better than what it is. People who really understood how talented Jones is knew this was a warmup match and to build hype to a real competitor.
