So true, AND even more true for older women fighting gravity. I was shocked the other day when I put on a sleeveless turtleneck top. It made me look like my boobs were down around my elbows. Decluttering all my crew-, mock- and turtle-necks. Keeping cowl-necks that elongate the neck. Now keeping an eye out for open collars, wraps and Vs. It's already been a year for belts. Yay. Thanks for the encouragement on TAPE. I've been intimidated so far. I do like using the nip-covers with non- padded bras for that smooth Tshirt effects. I am new to your channel so you may have already worn out the style top of posture to instantly uplift and slim. Thanks for such an encouraging video.

Pro tip if you're unable to find a strapless that fits you well... A seamstress can convert a "traditional" bra with a shaped/molded cup to a custom strapless if you have one that gives you the shape you want under a garment with the straps tucked in. They can even add silicone grip elastics & make the removed straps convertible. I have had two altered for around $30 each, and they're fantastic! I have a 32 band size with a large cup size & upper bust fullness. Every strapless I've tried (high end or budget) either digs mercilessly into my sternum or cuts a very unflattering line across the top, or both. My holy grail bra has molded/shaped demi style cups, underwires that do not come too far up my sternum, and a band that is stable on my ribcage. I've been thrilled with both the regular version & my altered strapless version.

Love this Dana! The tips on what will make your chest look bigger is so true. When I was in my 20s and going out a lot, I was always getting rude comments about my chest when I was in a crew neck or higher neckline. It would always throw me off because I wasn’t wearing anything low cut or “flaunting” my cleavage. Hoping things have gotten a little more respectful for the busty ladies 15-20 years later and post MeToo.

Love this! I go to a local boutique for fittings. Unfortunately, I spent WAY too long in my old size (US 36G). I've gained about 15 lbs in the last year and a half and still wore what I knew was old. Finally went back a month ago and got refitted and purchased my new size (UK 36G, which apparently is like US 36 I...UGH) and the fit is just perfect. I should have done this a year ago lol. It's just pricey where I go, but the fitting and personal shopper experience is chef's kiss.

I'm 5'1" and have a VERY short torso also. I "think" I'm a 34DD, which looks large on my body (128 lbs). I typically like an underwire for the support and I don't usually have issues with it digging in. I would suggest a wireless bra so you don't have to deal with that issue. I have realized that there are some decent ones out there that offer great support, contrary to my past and still somewhat ingrained belief. Since they don't bother me and they are so common, I have mostly underwire bras, however, I have had success with wireless. They will probably feel a lot more comfortable for you. Good luck!!

Favourite bras are Prima Donna Madison. Expensive but worth every penny. They last forever. I love the wired bras they make. Completely comfortable. They also make my favourite sports bra and bathing suits also.

Good note on the halter top too! While I HAVE used one strap to support my bra, it hurts my neck to do so! I've only worn halters twice (ironically both were weddings!) and I've given up on that style, simply because I refuse to be uncomfortable anymore. All hail to the v-necks!

Just found this video. Great stuff! I am 75 yrs, 5’2”, short torso with most of my 116lbs in my belly. was professionally fitted. My under bust is a 28! Of course no one sells that size. They put me in 30G (was wearing 32E). It lifts and they had some lace ones! The molded did not work as I have all my density in the lower portion. However, all day wear has me ripping it off as soon as I can. 30G…impossible to find except specialty stores. I found an active wear bra that sort of minimizes and looks mostly like a regular bra. It’s by Anita and I can comfortably wear the 32F size.

I haven't had a bra fitting in a long time, I'm too scared to because I'm afraid they'll tell me I'm larger than I think I am and I already struggle to find my current size as it is. I don't have a lot of spare money to buy online, test, return and repeat until I find something that works. I gotta try it on in a store. However I think I'm still the cup size I was measured at last time I had a proper fitting (DD) though my band size has gone up (was a 36, now 38) because I've tried on bigger cups and they were too big. So idk! I struggle a lot with tops because my chest is large but my torso is small so even somewhat loose fitting shirts (not baggy or flowy) look boxy on me. Thoughts? Oh thanks for the bathing suit recommendations! I haven't gone swimming in years because I simply couldn't find a bathing suit that wouldn't get me arrested for indecent exposure. I'll have to check out your suggestions.

I was sized as a 34 H( about 2 years ago a) the last time I bought a bra not in a specialty lingerie store, about 3 months after being sized, I found I had to stop wearing the bra within 6 months because I found the band 'binded/applied an uncomfortable amount of pressure around my side, particularly my right side.

I should probably have another fitting soon. I am a 36 or 38G. The G cup is the only size that actually holds all my breast tissue, but the problem is that the 36 band feels tight and uncomfortable, but the 38 feels too loose and rides up. I've tried so many different brands and I just hate that constricted feeling, like I'm being strangled around my ribcage. Also, I'm in my 50s now, so they are starting to sag and it's really hard to find any bra to lift them up.

Hi, the g cup may be too small. When the cup is too small it can make the band feel too small. Try the bra backwards to see if the band is comfortable without the cups. You could also be projected which means your boobs stick out more than the cups are intended for.

I recently bought wired bra for the first time in 17 years of wearing bra. But when I sit it is so much uncomfortable as it pushes my tummy. I am fat so I have belly. The wire just irritates so much that I couldn't wear it for more than 3 days. Share your experience. May be I will try again if there are experiences like it irritates initially but the settles or something for belly people
