It's so sweet that Spite gets involved in the romance, wrapping his wings around Rook at the end... Like Lucanis' love for Rook softens him up and brings him some sort of comfort or peace... There's a lot left to be desired about the writing in this game, but they really did a great job on Lucanis. He and Emmrich are some of the best-written characters I've seen in a while. And I work in book editing.

It's so sweet when Spite stops interrupting them even in banter. Like Spite clearly feeds off of not being wanted, so he's got no way of fighting back when Rook accepts him as a part of Lucanis.

Spite is actually quite fond of Rook. They say that they like Rook. They say Rook is their favourite. In their banter with Solas Spite will be upset that Solas hurt Rook. And then there is the romance scene, obviously. Besides that, Mary Kirby, Lucanis’s writer confirmed that Spite is fond of Rook.

Spite can be a positive emotion if used properly. One can use spite as a driving motivator to face injustice or enforce rules and and reinforce positive change. However, spite can just as easily be destructive if not channeled correctly.

I love him and the few scenes we get are the exact flavor of romance I like, but it still feels like the entire middle part after the almost-kiss is missing. Even just one awkward conversation or party banter would have helped!

There were tonnes or concept art of romance scenes and none of them made it. Like Lucanis/Rook making out in a lake, spending the night on a boat etc we were robbed.

I really like the romance scenes in this game. They’re really sweet. I’m just sad there is not that much content with him. The stuff that is there is good though. Also I like the romantic theme

I tried romancing Lucanis, unfortunately when the blight dragon attacked the first time, I chose to save Minrathos(Shadow Dragon run) over Treviso unfortunately and had progressed too far to go back and try to salvage it

You can't lock out any romance except if you don't flirt at all with your pick. BUT Lucanis will not be romanceable if you chose to help Minrathous, rather than Treviso. (The same doesn't go for Neve, so if you want all options open to you, just save Treviso.) There's also no jealousy system so flirting with any one companion won't lock out another.
