LOVE YOU DANAI!!!!!!! Is that loud enough! This woman is a revolutionist! As an AA, I was instilled with that pride early on in life. Sometimes I think I was born with it. I do remember my beautiful mother telling me that there was nothing cuter than a little dark skinned girl with lots of hair. She had 3 dark skinned girls with very woolly shoulder length hair that she braided and decorated with barrettes. I was never fooled by the lies told/shown about Africa/Africans; could not be brainwashed; ALWAYS knew our full lips were beautiful. AA people would laugh at me when I said so until the Whites started filling theirs with collagen, smh.

I would love to see Danai run for office because she is so dynamic and inspirational. However, I would hate for her wings to be clipped by politics. I can’t wait for her next play, movie, or whatever artistic venture she pursues. Her voice is vital out in this world. ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾
