I’ve been to Iceland three times. I highly recommend the steam valley in Reykjadalur, and hidden waterfall in Kvernufoss. Tbh, the whole country is beautiful.

The whole southern coast is full of waterfalls and rainbows that come with them. It's the geology of the central flat land with volcanic shifts at the coastline. Makes for big drop and so waterfalls. You're close to the geysir area there and the most famous waterfall of all. Don't miss it. Hope you get over to Westmann - with a car you can just drive to the ferry site, hope over for the day, and come back. Super interesting. Lake Myvatn is adventure sport head quarters.

Would love to visit Iceland land. I’m originally from Sweden but live in Australia. One time when we get to travel to visit family in Sweden, I would love to visit Iceland. I’ve got a friend who visited Iceland and came across another hot pool which is meant to be better than the one you went too. It’s not as big or as popular but meant to be nice. Welcome to my home country. It might get a little bit colder over the next few days. Ofcourse you come when I am not in the country. If you are in Selfoss, you should try the pizza place called Skalli. You should also try the smoothie bowl at Ísey skyr bar. Otherwise have fun in Iceland and I recomend to just drive around and you will see some amazing things.

The Blue Lagoon isn’t actually a hot spring per se, it’s the waste water from the hydrothermal plant behind you, and once it’s cooled down it’s then put into the pool, they’ve added a couple of new smaller springs, because it’s grown so much, and the colour is the excess of minerals concentrated by the water source, which lets the water glisten and the minerals of the volcanic island of Iceland do their thing! 🏳️‍🌈👍🏻
