Thank you for your time and posting. I'll go to VN in October for a few months to see if I want to retire there, starting in Hanoi and working my way down to HCMC. I tried Ecuador and that didn't work out. Looked into Portugal but... Nope. Malaysia is not for me. So we will see. :) Thank you again.

This is so helpful, thank you! My husband and I will be there in 2 weeks!! Did you have any issues with the food in terms of it not sitting well? I’ve heard you should avoid certain places/street food and not eat any fruits or veggies that have been washed in tap water, so I’m wondering if that’s true or if it’s only in certain areas of Vietnam?

Glad you can go. You'll have so much fun. In terms of the food and upset stomachs, it depends if you've traveled to SE Asia often. If you haven't, then you may encounter an upset stomach. Best to drink bottled water only and stay away from their ice. I had an upset stomach the first time I went, but after that, I got used to it.

There are many places in Danang for this. The one that we went to is called Bánh Canh Bà Sen
