Patriotism is our "religion" - Chinese, Russian, African, i.e., the people from the global south where we still live in a quasi-kinship community, simpler, humbler, less hypocritical, straightforward, and treat each other more equally as members of the family and managed by "the people, from the people, and for the people," i.e. the technocrats with Confucianism for thousands of years and the legacy is rejuvenated and continues. On the other hand, in the global north, countries are managed by the elite, financiers, upper class, the plutocrats, "the 1%, of the 1%, and the 1%," who are on the top and know little or nothing about those at the bottom. Karl Marx penetratingly clearly revealed in his books about this the "Class struggles". While the rich have never really cared for the poor, the marginalized, and the disenfranchised (look at the last 200 years, how many have died in the colonization of the world; Indian genocides, black slavery, the two world wars). Giving you a right to vote is the minimal reward for being the one at the bottom and then nothing else; even the voting could be manipulated and distorted, in the past, in the present, and in the future. This is not about patriotism, Plutocracy, Democracy, Autocracy, or even religion; it is about the rich cannot subjugate the poor, the oppressed, and the voice less. It is a civilization struggle - Confucius' Ren and discipline versus Western uncontrolled freedom and hypocrisy. I normally only copy and paste the "slogans", because these are my ultimate prayer for China, as a country with the world's largest number of people, who deserve the love of God and the love of all peoples and particularly its own people. But these are underpinned by knowledge horizontally, vertically, and broadly and the faith in humanity and divinity. We Chinese have practiced for thousands of years, i.e., "the mandate of heaven." That is, rulers must be just and work for the people to keep the approval of the gods; otherwise, they will lose the Mandate of Heaven.
