i've been a silent watcher of yours since the very first performance of rtk2, and i love how honest you are and how you notice the small details. cravity’s performance this time tells their story, starting from being in a cube (which connects to their debut mv) we all know they debuted in the midst of the pandemic, so i think they had a lot of limitations at the time like how they were stuck in the cube. they also showed how they’re finding their own color and light (the sparkle(?)) which is why the first part was dark, and they held the light (sparkle) in their hands, when they ran together and the red confetti dropped, it symbolized them finally finding their color. for me they perfectly showed the theme of this round which is identity

Hi for Younite, because I am a fan of red hair guy so I know the background story. He is acting out his own story and how Younite was formed in the first place. He was in a competition to form the popular boy group X1 but they were forced to disband as the voting was rigged, that’s why he was forced to try a solo career after only a few months debut in the X1 group which was touted to be a very big success, but it was hard for him as a young trainee to be thrust into the entertainment industry which was depicted as vast as the ocean, it almost swallowed him up and he was struggling and drowning. Luckily his friend which is the second Ace Woono lead him to join the new group Younite, so they cleverly use the curtains as dual meanings both entertainment industry/ navigating the unknown abyss. His friend leads him into a new world ‘Younite kingdom’ which is made up of the other team members in which he finds happiness and can jump happily and splash in the entertainment industry. So the identity them is played out like a diary entry, playing out pain and finding a sense of belonging and joy in finding a new group to belong to. In terms of identity it really hits the nail on the head. They had to pick a song to interpret all of this and in the end they used waterfall as water can really be used to metaphorically mean a lot of things.

Sorry forgot to add at the very beginning he is facing to the back leaning on his X1 members after a successful performance, then the curtains close to signify his beginning of his solo career in which he is pushed and shoved and his microphone is grabbed away from him, showing his hardship, thereafter he starts to sink

I think the story of 8Turns performance (or what I got from it anyway) is that Jaeyun (white) is Anubis who guarded over funeral rites and then weighed the heart and guided the dead souls to the Underworld. Myungho (in red) is the dead and then the soul being guided.

I LOVE detailed reaction you have been made! So keep going! I am the cravity fans but when you take the note of something that can make different, I agree! From the ace’s Piano scene, maybe one of them should play it for real and let other ace dance in front on audiences. Hope their next stage will blew our minds. LOVE AND FUN JESS!

Here are some of my thoughts on the performances if anyone wants to listen :P Ahem I was super excited for the Love or Die battle since last week and I really loved how The New Six changed up the song so much! It felt kinda like I was listening to a new song and it was exciting, as compared to Cravity’s, which was basically the same structure to the original. But Cravity are one of my ults so I ofc loved their performance too. I also liked how 8turn remixed tic tac, but what made me love it so much was bc the aces are my bias and bias wrecker. (Red is Myungho and white is Jaeyun) But to me it felt like it was more of a Myungho/Jaeyun performance, than an 8turn performance bc I noticed them a lot. Also youniteeeee It’s so interesting going from Bite Me to Waterfall. The “show tune-y” parts threw me off and if I was listening to it by itself I’d be very confused.. It was fun to watch tho. But I definitely prefer the softer prettier parts of it Yippee! These 4 groups are my faves out of the lineup so this week was so fun! But I’m also super looking forward to next week!!

My thoughts are, well for as a thx I could tell who the ace's are. My friend, not a thx, was able to tell but a 100%. Furthermore the mission was identity and they completely shown their colors and the fact "we all are one, one color". So from a psychological view this is a strong standing and massage delivery. Maybe missed the task in its singular level of depth. But looking at it with a wider view it makes sence and they did fulfill the task. The fact which makes me sad is that if you have a group with one "clear" ace, what is with the other memebers? Reminds me of the pussycatdolls 🤔

I can't tell if your hair is actually purple or if it's because so many of these performances are using overwhelmingly blue/purple lighting but either way it looks really cool!! Edit: I think if you want to talk about concepts (which you seem to judging by how much you do it without realizing haha) go ahead! These are *performance* stages, not just dance or vocal stages, and concepts are a huge part of that. The groups are clearly factoring it into their own judgements - I don't remember who but a few of them did point out that 8turn's stage last round wasn't very concept driven and they placed at the bottom, and this week you can see (especially in the episode itself) they put a lot of thought into the concept. And if not understanding the concept/poor execution of it affects your enjoyment of the performance as a whole, I think that's worth talking about

So to answer your question, I have my hair black on top with a purple ombre at the bottom so your eyes are not deceiving you! Thank you for noticing! Secondly, I appreciate your feedback about how to move forward! Means a lot and I will continue to find a happy medium because like you said, it's pretty much IMPOSSIBLE to look at these routines without factoring in the concept. I'm SO FREAKING EXCITED FOR NEXT WEEK!!!! I saw what is about to go down andI CAN'T WAIT!

About what you said in the end, I understand why you avoid concepts as for now. I guess overall performance, logistics, set design, props outfits really have to be harmonious; outside fandom knowlede/references or other media. BUT stylistic choices is than hard to consider. I guess for me whats best for you to do is ignore concepst as of now like what you did in the video 😅. Bcs at least we get perspective from outside context viewer (not considering concepts / references) Im sure u get new perspective i dont get to see (as im not in ur patreon) after watching the episodes Overall these stages are preceived (from audience) without context and you (from my understanding) want to share that perspective. Though ur limited in terms of lyricism. Anyways what Im trying to say us, im ok with u reacting without reference / context of stylistic choices and is still a very helpful perspective. Btw love ur reactions and ur what i call outside context viewing. It is truely the raw reactions if the audience. Love from a youniz ❤
