I know nothing about dancing but learning this and dancing along was SO fun. I can't stop thinking about the last chorus.

oh i'm soo excited to watch this. i see you've done all of seventeen's existing choreographies AND their solo works on your patreon ?!!!! so you're familiar with their overall dancing styles already!! i don't know much about dancing so it's so interesting to specifically see your reactions and technical analyses to these. i feel like i understand things better? LMAO. p.s. you've done dino's danceologies too i'm gonna cry i'll probably understand why i find dino's dancing very good to look at (everyone is great this is seventeen but there's something about his dancing i'm really drawn towards, it's really consistent and passionate? every pause is a perfect pause)
@jess_holyfield7 ай бұрын
I have done all of it! It was such a joy seeing so much of their movement quality grow over the years! Once Dino releases another DIno Danceology or solo, we will have more fun to see on KZbin!!

yay I've been waiting for this! unfortunately performance unit choreos don't usually get a dance practice video so I wouldn't expect it :') (although I wish they would drop one for spell!) also interestingly, the nonsense lyrics remind me of lilili yabbay, since that is also a nonsense phrase that they originally used for counting the beats, but became part of the actual lyrics. the Korean title for lilili yabbay is "the 13th months dance" and it's actually part of a connected storyline with some other performance unit songs about falling in love with an alien on the moon (I promise I'm not making this up lol). but I think the nonsense lyrics of lilili yabbay help contribute to a sense of otherworldliness. Spell isn't part of the same storyline since that was a long time ago, but I do think the nonsense lyrics in spell also give it a sort of otherworldly vibe? like it feels like some sort of magic anyway I know that's more a lyric thing than a choreo thing but I thought it was interesting! also yes, this was the first time they performed this live, and it was actually before the album/track was released, so the audience hadn't heard the song at all before!

You are right! There is some overlap between this one lyrically to Lilili Yabbay! I'm so intrigued at the potential storyline created for Maestro and wondering if any of these unit tracks are connected in some way!
@kulacute7 ай бұрын
spell also happens to have a lyric that feels like almost a direct reference to lilili yabbay ('cast a spell in a language only we know' -> 'open the time where only we exist'), and knowing how much svt loves being self-referential it feels like more than just a coincidence haha

@@Varalerici that one is currently Patreon exclusive, but the moment Hoshi has a solo CB, it will get launched into the wild of KZbin haha!

Watching this from South Africa and hearing you talk about amapiano feels so surreal to me lol. Btw, have you ever checked out Minghao's art series? He went from b-boying to learning contemporary and I personally don't know much about dance except that its beautiful to look at.
@jess_holyfield7 ай бұрын
Omg YES I’ve seen The8s contemporary art and I legit MELTED on some of them! The next time he has a solo release, two of those bad boys go live on KZbin!! And I’m really happy that I was able to pick up on the Amapiano nuances and be able to celebrate the art of it here! I felt a little bad that I wasn’t able to speak more on the vocab side as much as I wanted to but I’m glad I was able to appreciate as much as I did pick up on!
