No I don’t agree. Nia is a person of very high privilege and many many opportunities. She just isn’t a natural dancer in my opinion. She is more of a hip hop dancer, not a “pretty dancer” or as flexible dancer as a Kalani. I just didn’t really like the constant complaining from Holly when she became either very passive aggressive or just plain aggressive in later seasons and I didn’t like the shiesty way they treated Abby. Come on they went with Aubrey Oday and said ‘screw you Abby’. I just think that Abby really gave all those kids so many opportunities they may not have had, particularly Nia (dance talent wise) but the repayment was just a big up yours and disrespect. Anyway that is just my opinion and I guess I get a little peeved when ppl make excuses for Nia when she just isn’t as skilled as the others naturally.

The problem with Maddie isn’t that she can’t dance/perform. Her problem is the fact that we don’t actually know how versatile and good she actually was because Abby and Giana would always give her similar choreography. If you look at her TDA improv, it’s definitely better than any solos she ever performed choreography wise. I just wish we got to see more from her.
@JordanJSparks5 жыл бұрын
I agree! we only got to see her in 1 style because the show was trying SO hard to brand her as that. They tried this really hard with other dancers too, like Brooke. They just pigeonholed them into one style. Maddie is better at hip hop and contemporary than Lyrical in my opinion. There is more freedom for her to express herself in the movement and emote. In Lyrical she is contained to the ballet technique lol

I’ve NEVER seen Maddie do a dance that I wasn’t captivated by.... she just has that IT factor... like every single time she performs she performs with every inch of her body... from the top of her head to the tip of her toes... like if she could move her hair strands to help express her emotions and tell the story... she would.. Lol

This is why I like Maddie better than Kalani/Brynn etc. She might not have quite the technique they have (but her's.is still pretty damn good) she has emotion and passion that far outsripts them. Don't get me wrong, Kalani and Brynn both equally have pretty good emotion but they have never and probably wont ever capture me like Maddie does. When she dances it's so clear the butning passion she has for what she does and her every movement seems extremely thought outand every thing she does is done to project emotion. Maddie's dancing has taken me to real enotional tears and has pulled my heartstings out. But I just can't get that same feeling from Brynn, Kalani, Chloe or even Sophia. At lot of the yime dancers only project emotion throuh their expressions on their face. Maddie has the face but the thing that really captures you is the way she uses her legs and arms. Being a dancer isn't all about technique. So yes, I believe Maddie is the best dancer on the show. Lol come for me

yes I think it was fair. All God's Creatures tell an important story and evokes a messages. Fragile Forest is just a gorgeous number to a gorgeous song with a gorgeous dancer. Both are great, but the point of ART is to make people feel. Not JUST to entertain and be great ! I hope that makes sense!

@@JordanJSparks I agree with your opinion but personally think that Maddie Ziegler hasn't body emotion but facial expressions. I mean, some of her solos are AMAZING (Lizzie Borden, for example) but I like more the kind of dancer that express feelings trough the body (Kalani, Tate McRae, others). It's quite a personal opinion but sometimes I think Maddie's faces were quite too much, especially in the early seasons sometimes it looked kinda dub to me. I always felt like kalani was more stronger lyrically then Maddie it’s sad she wasn’t branded as such because her dancing always blew me away. She’s the reason I’m working so hard to have my daughter go into either gymnastics or ballet. well that and the fact my lil girl loves dancing and gymnastics if she sees someone dancing she tries to copy the moves and then she also likes to try to do handstands and front rolls (She’s only 2 turned 2 2 months ago) so to me it’s something she would love! If she doesn’t then of course I’d take her out, but I definitely would love to watch her do dance or gymnastics because it’s so beautiful and takes more strength then people realize.

awe that is sooo cute!!! she sounds like she would definitely enjoy some gymnastics classes!! I don't have any kids myself, but it's always a great way to get her started with a social circle too, if you guys don't do any group activities yet since she's so little. Kalani had a more fluid dancing style lyrically I agree, I just felt more emotion and connection with Maddie always. I never really felt anything from any of the other dancers except Nia, Paige and occasionally Brooke in the very beginning. Kenzie DEFINITELY exuberates genuine joy when she dances too. I think both Ziegler girls are natural entertainers, but in totally different ways. Kenzie can make an audience SMILE from their Heart. Maddie can make an audience feel and be inspired. Stir Emotion. Still waiting for Kendall's emotional breakthrough! If only she could harness that tantrum energy into her dancing!

Jordan Sparks I agree about the girls as well! I watched Mackenzie on dancing with the stars juniors and I love how much she’s grown and how much joy comes from her! Maddie is beautiful all the way around and she’s doing so much right now it was fun watching them all grow. I’m def gonna start her in gymnastics because I’m sure it’ll be lots of fun for her. She doesn’t do much activities with other kids but I’ve looked up videos on safe ways to stretch a 2 year old so I’ve started that with her (just toe touches sitting and standing) and then I cheer her on when she tries to do hand stands and rolls and it makes her so excited it’s definitely the cutest thing for me to watch (I’m sure any parent feels this way about their kid!) so I’m excited to get her in it and watch her learn and grow. Nice choice!!! Ballet (or gymnastics) will be such a good addition to her education. She will learn music, discipline, hard work, respect and sacrifices. She will learn what it takes to achieve her goals and she will also learn how good it feels to be proud of yourself. Dance will help her become the best version of herself. It will help her find her voice, discover who she is as a person. She will learn to speak without words and , to speak without talking, you really need to be as true to yourself as you can because you will only speak through your own emotions. She will learn that she can create beautiful things with her body, that by moving it she can feel free. Dance will teach her this and much more. It will be part of her life forever. And it will give her a glimpse on the beauty of life in the most beautiful way possible. Educate your child to art and you won't ever regret it. Just make sure you find a great studio where your child is in a safe environment and is nourished and enriched as a person. She will thank you later in life!

I love your channel! I sometimes re-watch your videos because you are so articulate in expressing your opinion as a Dance Coach and as a viewer like us. But you do it with such professionalism and kindness and compassion, that your videos feel like a comfort viewing, and its been 4 years since this one! Wanted to add that: Post-Dance Moms and with all the flow of information that we now have (from all cast members coming forward with information, including Abby), I would like comment that we can safely state that Maddie definitely was favored. Yes, she has something special and is talented in dance and performing. But she was also given extra time for rehearsal, she was put up front and center most of the time, her wins were celebrated by her teacher, she got continuous praise when she did things right and when she messed up or was upset she was consoled by Abby. With the years, Abby has admitted that Melissa pulled Maddie away from school in secret to give her time to learn her solos and parts of the group dances. This has been confirmed by other cast members. She didn't learn her choreography by osmosis, she was just given extra time to learn the steps AND thus the chance to put in the emotional performance that made her win awards and audiences. The rest of the kids had to conform with whatever little time they were given by production to rehearse and added to that, they had to battle with their lack of self-confidence resulting from Abby's bullying. Abby is super entitled in her interview (she even expects Maddie to apologize to HER) but she speaks about the rehearsal time here (min 21-23): kzbin.info/www/bejne/oX69ommoh56sebs Also, this is a video from MackZBoss, where she puts together evidence from cast's declaration and how rehearsals influenced in the dancers' success: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jJPRdJ6Iobp6q80 That being said, it doesn't take away from Maddie's talent and her hard work, AT ALL. Nor does it negate that she was emotionally abused by Abby just as much as the other girls, with the added pressure of being the favorite and expected to live up to that. But she definitely had a leg up in comparison to the other girls.

Keep in mind that they do the dances twice, one for filming and one for judging. They could have done it a lot better in their one for the judges. Also, I totally agree about Maddie!

The blonde girl in Blush and Bashful is Jane and she was added for Brynn to have an opposite. Abby added Jane so Brynn being blonde would have a similar opposite because Kendall and kalani we closes looks wise which is why she didn't just have Kendall and Brynn opposites then

I'm sorry, I'm not trying to be mean, but, I am truly confused. Everyone has the right to live life,as they please. That being said, if someone is into full face makeup. . . Why keep the moustache ? Seriously, I am confused. This is NOT an attack. I am curious, and, would really like it, if someone who has a legitimate answer, would respond.
@JordanJSparks5 жыл бұрын
well since it's my face I'm the only person that can answer that for you, and because I am a MAN . I am not trying to look like a Woman or Do Drag. I am simply wearing makeup on my eyes because I want to. It's really that simple lol.

Well, we know what Abby SAYS the dances are about, but if you watch the dance without hearing that, and you can't figure it out, then it doesn't get conveyed properly somehow.

I really enjoyed this video and your reaction to it. It makes me really happy that DMS inspired you because l really thought it was amazing. Some of Abby's choreo that made you stop and think was stunning. I tjought Chloe's solo Please and Inside of me, Silence, Dream on a Star and Lucky Star should have been perfect, but you would know more about that than l. Could you please do a video of those and your reaction to them? I would really love that. I haven't been subscribed to you for all that long, l just ran into yo recently but now l'm hooked. Great video! ✨💫🌟✨💫🌟✨

So I have a question I’m a lefty dancer and I’m having a really hard time with getting my right even close to what I can do with my left and because of that I don’t have any opportunity’s in my studio bra cause I can only do my left and my studio only puts right turns right kicks right splits and it upsets me that I can’t show anything I can do besides in my solo. Do you have any advice to help with getting my right side like my left?
@JordanJSparks5 жыл бұрын
That's incredibly frustrating and I know the feeling! I can only do acro to the left and dance to the right. I would say for one, that's really crappy of your studio! But for 2, that's a reality of dance for Lefties too, is that dances are often choreographed on the right. I would say focus on your passion and putting everything into your solos, but when it comes to being ambiedextrous, all you can do is train your best and do both sides equally. In Dance I have never got to a place where both sides FELT equal, but just do your best so that they LOOK equal. That's the best advice I can really give. Unfortunately being a Leftie is one of those curses in Dance, because pieces will always be choreographed around the Righties unfortunately
@kaylaperry40095 жыл бұрын
Jordan Sparks thank you so much for the advice I still can’t believe you even replied to me love your channel I will try my hardest to train very equally✨

I don't like how Kallani looks when she dances, But I like her so much when she is acting!
@fernmiller42484 жыл бұрын
I think that Kalani and Maddie are equally talented dancers and definitely think that Kalani should of received more attention in her early years of Dance Moms. Her technique is almost always flawless and she emotes brilliantly, but Maddie has something special with the way she emotes within her dancing (like you said). They both have gifts in different ways and I think that they should of gotten more duets together, because I think that they would of gotten perfect scores together a lot of the time.
@fernmiller42484 жыл бұрын
Also I think that Lilly has the same gift as Maddie with her facials and Kalani with her technique. She did slip up in the early episodes of season 8 but she is an outstanding dancer. She’s like a perfect mix of Kalani and Maddie and I LIVE FOR ITTTTT
