I've never been a fan of tillian. I became a fan of dgd right before they released acceptance speech and I liked that album but after that I've not been super impressed... maybe just cause I'm so used to hearing Johnny Craig's dgd, that's what I want to hear. He's a great guy, and he's not a bad fit, he's just not my favorite. somewhere next to Kurt imo. Both are good but neither really go over the top for me

@jordanfrary3876

+Jeremy Gano there's flaws to all of them, but they're all still great. tillian's vocals are typically plain, like there's no raw sound that Kurt and jonny brought (probably caused by production), Kurt wasn't very good live, and jonny had personal issues. none of them are perfect but they all made great music. happiness was actually my favorite album when I first got hooked on dgd. Then I became a jonny fan boy

All depends on perspective. If you've been listening to xtreme hardcore deathmetal chugging your whole life, nah DGD isn't heavy in comparison. I think 90% of people would agree DGD is heavy though. It has screaming in it. Immediately makes it heavy. But it's still opinion I guess.

Derrick Jee thats where i disagree, imo, heavy doesnt come from vocals purely, its from instrumentation and vocals combined that serves the heavy.

they have been my favorite band since WISIRO, which will always be my favorite work of DGD just because of the memories it brings back, makes me miss the old days. its just so insanely crazy to see how much they have progressed and how far they've gotten. I just went to they're show in Houston last month and to see how many People were there compared to the first time I saw these guys years ago was insane and the energy from the crowd gave me chills. This was they're opening song and man they killed it, literally DGD will never fail me.

In the post chorus line, "riding a rhino, pico de gallo" , Jon screams 'roosters beak' right after that line. From spanish to english, "pico de gallo" means roosters beak (according to my band mate who speaks Spanish). SO he's essentially saying, RIDING A RHINO, ROOSTERS BEAK, ROOSTERS BEAK, I"LL SLEEP WHEN I LEAP THAT JEEP. I guess pico de gallo sounds cool lmao. Love this song
