Been listening since downtown battle mountain 1. I'm 24 now, and even though I stopped listening to hardcore and post hardcore for the most part. I always stuck with Dance Gavin Dance because of how versatile their sound is. Never thought something off their latest album would be my favorite song from them ever. Shame Tides of man dissipated, but DGD couldn't have picked up a better replacement. I still listen to Dream house.

This is still probably one of my favorite fucking albums, and it only came out last year. Do you know what I mean? It's already a classic and it hasn't even been out long enough to reach mainstream acclaim- but that's okay, it doesn't have to. This band has and always will be one of the most innovative of its kind, and that's why they're my favorite band. Actually, there's a dozen reasons but that's just one of them...I hope I'll be able to see them when they come my way this October.

The first DGD song I ever heard. It was February 2017 and my friend Sarah sent me this song, the riffs intrigued me but I couldn’t quite get into either Tilian or Jon’s vocals. Flash forward a little over a year later and I rediscovered DGD with Midnight Crusade and they quickly became my favorite band of all time. This song is absolutely orgasmic. Once you listen to it a couple of times in a row you gain such a greater appreciation for it! the part from 1:45-2:55 is absolutely spellbinding...the "over over overwhelmed again" part makes me cream every fucking time! This is one of the top 3 tracks released this year maybe even better than that!
