This is good, but I take it that you didn't see the 10 Year Anniversary Tour? Kurt and Jonny killed it. Tilian is good, great really, but he's not at Jonny or Kurt's level. Again, this lineup is still solid.

Funnily enough, that's what made it clear to me that he was just spectacular live. They were all awesome, but when Tilian did Variation, everyone had their jaws dropped. He definitely owned the night that I saw them.

Jonny was sloppy - drunk, drugged, forget lyrics, doesn't play any songs besides his own. Tilian sings the entire discography. Not that Jonny is bad, he's amazing.

+Omega Generation maybe. I still think Tilian DGD is the best DGD. Consistency wise, and their sound. I've been listening to DGD for a long time but I've never been so happy to be a fan of them as I have been the past few years. I used to like certain songs DGD put out in the past, ever since Tilian joined I've yet to dislike a single song they've put out.

Lahton Wolfgramm I feel like half of AS really was a flop. It was a weird time where they didn't know how to write for Tilian, and that made it almost a weird Johnny/Kurt mix. Songs like robot w/ human hair 4, death of a robot, strawberry swisher pt 3, and the jiggler were really good when some songs really weren't. It was almost like Everyone Dies In Utah's last album, or Rise of the Lion by Miss May I. It was rushed and in turn it ended up not being the greatest. Tilian has proven himself over time though. I think he's the best DGD singer they've had, and the past two albums have won AOTY for me

nah yeah definitely!! Mother ship is a masterpiece. Tilian was the singer who got me into DGD. he has always been my favourite and its pretty dope to see how far they've come as a band

Absolutely LOVE this band, and this set was amazing to watch. One gripe: I understand that hitting those high notes ever time is an unrealistic standard for Tillian, but that isn't an excuse to go flat on like every high part. Do they use pitch correction on the records? Either way, it just isn't acceptable to sing flat if you can't hit the notes. Go an octave down if you must. NO HATE INTENDED. I just want them to be the best they can be.

Tilian actually sounds just as good live as studio, if not a little better. I saw them on this tour at their Minnesota stop and they absolutely killed it. It's a tie between Veil of Maya with Lukas and Dance Gavin Dance on this tour for most spot-on live recreation. The latter blew me away with how cohesive they sounded live. The former did the same but isn't as recent.

Next Album they NEED a new singer. They aren't growing with Tillian anymore, they got what they got out of him and now need a new lead singer.(Just my Opinion) JOHNNY CRAIG was my favorite as i'm sure many others, so hopefully they cycle in a new guy like him soon. I see how he can be an acquired taste though, especially for a long time DGD fan. All I know is I love this new album and Tilian's voice has given me goosebumps several times haha

Really? They've actually been growing a lot with him. Especially with Mothership, which has been their most well received album with Tilian by far. Probably because it's more aggressive, dark, and less poppy. Jonny has definitely been their best singer but he was not great in terms of being a musician in the band, while Tilian has been killing it. Both DGD and Jonny have moved on.

Lol I loved DGD with Johnny (their first record... Not really the second) but Johnny does the same shit every song and definitely doesn't write the quality of music Tillian does. Tillian is a very well rounded musician and Johnny just coasts along cus he is a good singer. You clearly aren't a musician yourself, but you're entitled to an opinion................
