Tilian was sick during parts of the recording of this album. He said he liked the sound it gave him. It's very apparent on songs like Midnight Crusade also I am assuming Tilian himself is purposefully doing weaker highs from either strain on his throat from touring or trying to appeal to the people who called him whiny in his first album with DGD. Danny (Andy) has a very nice tone and can hit highs very efficiently. However he doesn't really have excessive strain on his vocals so he doesn't have to hold back or change anything to his style. He can just keep being who he is and making killer covers and music.
