The first dance excerpt features a dance event at the Gračanica Monastery in Kosovo. Judging by the costumes, we can see that the attendees were Karaguni Vlachs from the eastern part of Macedonia, and a bride and groom from the surrounding of Prilep (Macedonia). The dancers, however, are from the villages of the Skopska Crna Gora mountain in Macedonia who probably traveled to Gračanica to attend the dance event. The video is filmed in 1934 and it is a French production, owned by the Yugoslav Kinoteka. The names of the dances are unknown. The second dance excerpt features dances taking place in the region of Poreche (Macedonia). Judging by the games that the dancers play, it was filmed during Easter. The year and the names of the dances are unknown. The third dance excerpts features the dances of the Rusalii- a men's ritual procession. The video might be filmed in the villages Petrovo or Miravci in the surrounding of Gjevgjelija (Macedonia). The year and the names of the dances are unknown. The third dance excerpt features a combination of dances (possibly Crnogorka or D'lga Lisa), possibly performed by the dance group from the village of Rashtak in the Skopska Crna Gora region (Macedonia). The dances, however, are not typical for the Rashtak repertoire and were possibly altered for the video. The fourth dance excerpt features a performance of the dance Postupano, performed by the dance group from Rashtak at a dance event in Sofia, Bulgaria by the end of the 1930s. The source and the production for the last two video excerpts, as well as the year of the performance is unknown.
