@lovefantagioworld5 жыл бұрын
That was a nice reaction. Their sister group "WEKIMEKI" is also known to be good dancers and really has a different choreo style compared to typical kpop girlgroups. (Order of songs released: 1. I don't like your girlfriend 2. La La La 3. Crush 4. True Valentine 5. Picky Picky) If you will do another ASTRO reaction, you can try reacting from their first dance to their latest to probably analyze the change and growth in their dance. Here's the order: 1. Hide&Seek 2. Breathless 3. Confession (No dance practice, but you can watch their dance here... yt /watch?v=nGqtHFTQG6I) 4. Again (you've reacted to already) 5. Baby (you've reacted to already) 6. Crazy Sexy Cool (you've reacted to already) 7. Always You (No dance practice but you can watch here yt /watch?v=p0M5ewcge-I) 8. All Night 9. Moonwalk (No separate dance practice video but it is here yt /watch?v=5RXftzDOYuw starts at 13:34) 10. With You (No separate dance practice video but it is here yt /watch?v=5RXftzDOYuw starts at 16:59) Lastly, someone probably mentioned this already... Rocky was trained in ballet since a toddler. He then learned Jazz, Tap Dancing, HipHop (includes Poppin' & etc), Modern, and recently he learned the bone breaking (flexing) and was successful on his first attempt. The other main dancer, Moon Bin, trained with Rocky for 6 years. But before that, he also learned idol dances from an early age. The leader, JinJin, studied practical dance in High school. He was part of a House Dance Crew since he was around 15 years old. Other members were trained in the agency. The dance style was heavily influenced by the two members (Rocky and Moon Bin). But they have dance choreographers. Rocky usually helps too. As to the blocking or hiding a member thing... I noticed that before... but usually (from what I can remember) but not always, they hide the member who's gonna be the next one to sing or was the one who previously sang and needs to "travel?" or join back in the dance. But yeah, they suffer from that.

Astro’s newest comeback called All Night feels to me (who is not trained in dance whatsoever) stylistically super different for them? (Also quite different musically) and I’d be interested to see your analysis of that cuz you actually go so in depth and that’s hard to find in dance analysis on KZbin I feel ^^ keep up the cool work :) I actually would also like to see your analysis on groups with like 10+ members? Since you were talking about people not being able to show their talent (which is honestly true) but sometimes, the choreos look very satisfying? 😂 I’d recommend Butterfly by LOONA and La Vie En Rose by IZ*ONE for that massive group category. Anyways, this was actually such a cool and insightful video to watch coming from someone with no dance experience, you explained all your points super well and I’d love to see more!

i'll try to give as much information about their background as shortly as possible so using 15:59 as reference from left to right: -mj: isnt classically trained but has danced for a while (more than 7 years now i reckon) -rocky: has has danced since he was 5 (so 15 years as well) and has practiced a bunch of styles such as ballet, jazz, tap and hiphop. he choreographs or helps choreograph a lot of their dances which is probably why they all have some classical techniques and moves. -eunwoo: has the least experience and started both dancing and singing when he joined the company -moonbin: also has prior experience but i'm not sure if it was classical training or not -jinjin: was in ny dance academy in ilsan -sanha: i believed he trained already before joining the company but im not too sure about where and for how long a bit long but i hope this was useful!

Okay, so nobody’s really saying this but I think it’s really important to know that Astro choreographs a lot of their own dances or at least a good portion. There’s even a video where they show one of their dance practices as they figure out formations and moves, etc. Moonbin and Rocky (the boy in the plaid) are usually in charge, and I just think it’s really impressive that they not only execute the dance so well, but also create it. Edit: Also, most of the members did have strong backgrounds in dance or were at least really good at it. However, one or two of them such as Eunwoo (the tallest one with black hair who did the barrel roll) barely had any experience. He was really just a main vocal in the group and the “face.” He always felt really embarrassed about it, but he practiced really hard and got a lot of support from the members who helped him out. All the arohas (the fandom name) are really proud of him. He’s definitely improved a lot! Edit 2: Also (sorry for so many edits), the reason why they kinda have people right in the back of others is because, especially in kpop, six member groups like Astro are kinda infamous for it being more difficult to have various, asymmetric formations with everyone getting equal viewing time. I think you already touched up on that at the SJ though (sorry!) And it’s also to provide a transition for, for instance, a rapper to suddenly pop out from behind and walk up to the front and say his lines.

As far as I'm aware their company doesn't make trainees do classical training, it's mainly hip hop and modern dance styles but as others have said rocky is classically trained and jinjin (the one in the sweater doing the barrel turn) was in a house dance troupe before being a trainee and he was also the only member to major in dance at their multi arts highschool

What I find unique about Astro's dances are that, they seem so light while dancing and I love that. Really love your reaction to Astro.💕 I can feel that it's all from your true heart. Rocky has trained in ballet and modern jazz over 9 years (it was before he became a trainee). When he became a trainee of fantagio (their company), he praticed dances with Moonbin a lot, both of them were trainees over 5~7 years. So I guess that you have also noticed Moonbin😁. And Rocky often made some of their choreography with their dance instructor "Skillz". The choerography of All Night (Their recently comback song) were made by 3 members : Jinjin, Moonbin and Rocky. Please react to 1theK Dance War. Rocky have joined it. It's a dance competition show. you could find it on their youtube channel. Edit! I havent read all the comments and im sure someone else has mentioned it but the guy in plaid Rocky had a lot of dance classes and training before entering a company. His parents would drive him thursdays, fridays, and Saturdays to Seoul from Jinju for classes every week since he was 5 until the moved in his second year of middle school. He studied hiphop, jazz, ballet, tap dancing etc. If i remember correctly his dad was also in gymnastics as a coach which lended in Rockys training for the tricks and good spacial recognition. Not for dance technique but i think itd be really cool to see your reaction to their Isaac themed performances. Don't worry about being honest, Arohas (Astro's fandom) are nice and open-minded people in general and I actually agree with you on the part about "hiding" a member. Btw, Rocky, the boy in the plaid is their main dancer and is like a dancing prodigy. He really knows what he's doing. @ 18:14 that's Eunwoo. Among the members, he is deemed the "weakest" when it comes to dancing; but look, he did a true hinge! Jinjin, their lead dancer and leader, is an expert at house dancing. He was a top-notch in his school. I find it really interesting for a Kpop idol to have this kind of dancing style. Hi there, I just came across your channel recently and I’m already in love with the way you react. It’s easy to see how passionate you are about dance with the way you stop the video to dissect and thoroughly explain technical terms for the average viewer to understand. And Astro was definitely a good start for individual Kpop choreography reviews, with them being the first group I got into, I’ve always admired their songs and stage performances; I do recommend their recent releases, though I’ve seen other people recommend them as well. As many had already explained, Rocky is classically trained in various genres of dance and choreographs a lot for the group as well, which is why there’s a bunch of traditional influences. Although they’re all amazing dancers, most didn’t have a dancing background but improved through lessons and consistent practice. For instance, Moon Bin (front center member ending Crazy, Sexy, Cool) was the longest training member of the group and learned dance at a very young age. JinJin (the one with the deep voice) also has background in house/hip hop street dance. So, together, these three create the dance line in Astro. It would be great if you could check out TXT (Tomorrow x Together); the little brother group of BTS, they debuted back in March and just celebrated 100 days. They currently have 3 dance practice videos released - Crown, Blue Orangeade, and Cat & Dog - I’d appreciate it if you could react to them. Keep it up! Can’t wait for more! ❤️

Hi! Nice commentary! Looking forward to more Astro content! I like their group because they dance so well and their choreography is quite interesting. Do Please react to All Night which is their latest Song. They have a dance practice for that too. I’m quite curious with what your commentary will be because the choreography and the music are very different from the previous ones they‘ve released. Thank you for your this Astro commentary! 🤗 P.S. I think the one you were referring to “the 3rd Guy from the left” was Eunwoo. He didn’t have any background in dancing and singing but through constant practice, he caught up with the rest of the members.

In this video you mentioned how in a group with too many members, some get left out in a dance. Now I’m just wondering what you’re gonna think about the group Seventeen. They have 13 members but personally I think this doesn’t affect their choreography. In my opinion, they’re one of the best dancers in the kpop industry or at least a group with one of the best choreographies. I personally don’t know the group too well but so far, my favorite choreography from them is called “Very nice” 10/10 recommend +I really wanna know how you feel about their choreographies:)

You are absolutely adorable, and I really love your reactions!!! You should watch Astros All Night! Also you should take a look at Stray Kids, you mentioned liking their segment in the hardest Kpop dances video. Also Astros x2 dances and random play dances are great!

I know a lot of people have recommended it already but about the members behind members thing, I do notice they do it quite often and thats why I adore the Breathless dance. Even though they do hide the members occasionally (its far less in this song which makes me happy) it has a purpose and has some creativity, so I hope youd be able to react to it in the future!

Hi! I discovered your channel because of ASTRO and I loved your content. Please react to their dance practice of "Moonwalk" and "With You;" I think you would like it because you'll get to see Rocky choreographing some of the parts, or you can just watch it starting from minute 13:37. The video is in their official channel; it's from April 16th.

"The boy in the plaid is really good." hello. that's my boy Rocky or Minhyuk. He's trained as a dancer for so so long. and I'd say Moonbin is right behind him in training. His formation is always so clean and exact; his steps to prepare for the next move is always on point. it's ,,, insane. i love him

I love the fact that you’re being honest and not sugar coat anything! Thank you for reacting to astro💟 you mentioned how you don’t really like when there more than 9 members in kpop but try watching SEVENTEEN’S ‘Home’ ‘Don’t Wanna Cry’ dance practice and thank me later💗

I like how you explain what you like /and/ what you don’t, I feel like a lot of people don’t do that. I’d love to see what you have to say about the rest of their choreographies (Hide & Seek, All Night, Breathless) and maybe some other groups? Like A.C.E., ATEEZ, NCT (especially Ten’s solo work and with WinWin), TXT, etc.

I really beg to differ in that center fiasco. There's nothing wrong for aiming a perfect symmetry in formation as it keeps the choreo clean. And it isn't a way for the choreographers to tell that "that member hiding behind the center" isn't a great dancer. They just happened to be there, that's it.

I love your video really cool. I would recommend maybe look at vixx choreographies because they tend to play with the theme of their songs in their choreo, which makes them really cool to watch.

Thank you for going in depth on the dances! Most of their dances since debut has classical dance elements in it!

Some fun facts I've learned since I've became a fan of Astro. Rocky has actually choreographed a couple of their songs, Fireworks and Wake up call. Should definitely check that out. But Moonbin is also really good and is really close to Rocky. (All members are actually really good dancers but these two stick out to me when they dance.) Now about the thing they placed on the ground in front of them. I was told by a friend of mine that it's there to keep them in place. Let them know where to stand and all. Some groups actually find out the size of the stage they will be performing on for that day or week. Then place that there so they can practice not to pass it. Again not 100 percent if this is correct but my friend who does choreography said that was what it was for her. Haha :).

Hey! Just discovered your channel and I love your 3 videos haha! I subscribed right away, and I’m hoping for more videos like this one in the future because it was a pleasure to watch ;) Maybe some day (I know you have a lot of other stuff to react to) you could check out their newer songs? Because the most recent is Crazy Sexy Cool out of those 3 and it’s already from a couple of years back. So here is a short list: Always You, All Night, and Hide and Seek (which is their first song but has a very cool choreography that I’m sure you’ll like).

In case no one answered, Rocky - the lead dancer you said was really good - is classically trained in multiple styles, including tap dancing, but none of the others are. The other really good dancer is Moonbin - he did the double pirouette along with Rocky - had been a trainee the longest, so he's picked a lot of it up with hard work and time. Overall tho, they all work hard and Rocky stays and helps the weaker dancers during long practice sections. I also suggest this song if you wanna see Rocky's crazy spin: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gZqzg2armKycpbc
