Haechan is definitely one of my favorite dancers in NCT. What makes his dance performance so captivating is how he makes the dance look easy when in reality, it is incredibly difficult. It shows how well he has internalized each dance to effortlessly performs it. Moreover, Haechan is known to be overly critical of his performances. He continuously watches his play backs and fancams to monitor himself so that each subsequent performance, you can see an improvement. Another factor I think that is often missed when talking about why Haechan is an effective dancer is his positions in the group. He's the main vocalist of NCT. Often times, main vocalists are asked to under-perform so that they maintain their breath quality to sing. But Haechan is also a lead dancer which means he needs to perform well as a dancer in addition to his vocal performance. The combination of his positions results in him having to find ways to dance and sing effectively to give a good performance. This would mean it's a combination of both his training and his own abilities to balance vocal&dance.

That's very true, as a singer it's important to find balance and efficiency on breath control as you sing AND dance at the same time.

I love Shaky raindrop's videos. They're edited so well that it's actually entertaining to watch but also informative. I like how they'll talk about an aspect of dance, then show examples and then break it down in a way that non dancers can digest the information. It's a great way to show that choreography and dance isn't just about who can do the most complicated moves and who has the most stage presence, that there's a lot more to it.

Oooh, your thoughts on another one of my absolute fav dance reactors. Couldn't get more perfect, thank you (And Haechan did have ballet training as a kid, among other styles ) I hope you continue to look through that series, there are some interesting points about learning technique to prevent injury. I would love to hear your thoughts on that some time. :D

I love how he's aware to do some of their choreos safely like in Cherry Bomb choreo, they might really hurt their back if they weren't careful. And also, I think dancing to other k-pop songs also helped him improve more as a dancer. But yeah, it looks like ballet has a great impact on his style. :)
