This was an overwhelming set coming from SEVENTEEN. Ready To Love just has a plethora of so much creative blocking and detail, to the point where I had to keep going back and rewind!

i would make the argument that dino has the most overall experience as a dancer. his father is a dance teacher and used to (?) own and run his own dance studio, which really fuels dino as a dancer. there is a video from when dino was still a trainee of him dancing with his dad at pledis.

the beginning part where some are running around i think is to make the illusion of having a moving background while the center stays still. it kinda looks like that furing the actual stage.

Dino gives 200% every. single. time. he dances. Not just in stage performances but even in small clips, special vids, variety shows. His passion for dancing is always on fire. Also, The8 had an injury so he needed to minimize dancing for the time being to recover.

This one and Home Run are both a lot in the choreo, but I kind of love them for it. The8 has an ankle injury and has to avoid hard choreography at the moment. Seventeen works around their members injuries really well, this one of you watch through again The8 is on sides whenever there is standing, he runs all the way through to help with curtains and they tend to have him in the back if he's not center to take pressure off. They did something similar when promoting Hit when Seungkwan was injured and its pretty interesting to watch Vernon in the dance practice help him exit without drawing attention.

Actually the8 hurt himself during practice I think. Probably that's why he wasn't in the ending chorus. They also announced that he would sit out in some of the promotions.

Before their comeback Pledis announced that The8 injured his ankle during practice, the company wanted him to take a break from the promotion but the man himself wishes to participate with the members and after awhile of discussion they decided for him to join but limit his actions in performances for healing process 👍 also u got it right about Dino, we ain't called him 'mr.Passion is the answer for everything' for nothing 😂 a little TMI about him: His dad is a dance tutor and he used to dream about being an idol but unable to so as a parent to his eldest son - Dino, he passed down the passion of dancing, teach him how dance at a young age and fully support him as he also dreamed of becoming an idol. From what I have seen of Dino's dad so far, a very bright, energetic, supportive and down to earth man, Dino is very much like his dad, like father like son I guess ❤️

Keone Madrid (who has worked with Big Hit groups) worked on this with Choi Young Jun this time, as Hybe is trying to push for a more streamlined "Hybe" brand for all their groups instead of a collection of completely different groups from different agencies. This is his first time working with SVT and, while Keone is an amazing dancer and choreographer, I feel like there's definitely a slight disconnect between the song/concept and the choreo choices (or at least the meaning isn't as obvious), compared to their usual, very on theme choreos. And I agree that it seemed a lot sometimes, though it made things interesting. I don't know how things went behind the scenes for RTL but I know that, usually, Hoshi and Choi Young Jun start on the choreo as soon as the song guide is out, even before the final version is made. And they modify it as the song gets modified, up until and after the song is finalized and recorded. So they have a deep understanding of the song and overall theme, and can portray it in ways that are creative but still easy to digest. This connection isn't completely there yet with Keone I feel, but it will probably improve if they continue to work together for future releases. I'm excited to see what they will come up with !

Agree! I def think rtl choreo underwent a diff process this time because Young Jun posted a clip of dancers dancing to the rtl choreo on insta. It was very similar to how Keone Madrid sends his choreos to BTS. That said, the members did say they worked on modifying the choreo until the very end so I'm sure it's also full of their input^^ I look forward to their next work together but I hope Hybe doesnt impress too much of their "brand" on svt aha >

@@Luna-in5nb I don't know if they were talking about RTL or Anyone though, because Hoshi (nor any Seventeen member) isn't credited for RTL iirc and Jun just talked about how they modified Anyone several times and were sad about only getting to perform it once. That being said, even if no one from SVT worked on it, Young Jun would have made sure that it still kept the Seventeen™ spirit. He's an unofficial member of svt at this point, like Bumzu

As a carat since their debut, what I feel in this comeback is that maybe there's interference in their creation (music/choreography) - not exactly in a bad way, that's not what I'm saying - but I do feel elements in their music and choreo that is not ~seventeen~. Seventeen has a very unique essence which i don't feel 100% in this title song and choreography, even if their commitment is the same. Regardless, RTL is still a good song and has an awesome performance.

But Woozi did still contribute the most. And the choreographer are the same ppl Hoshi usually works with.(Look team and the one who choreographed DWC I believe)

when i heard the highlight medley, i felt like RTL was the most "kpop" sounding track I've ever heard from seventeen. like seventeen has always been different from and had a unique signature and sound. But it works as a good song still. it's still not my favorite track (b sides are always golden for them) but it is a good song and the overall album is great

Actually the 8 isn't injured or anything. It just that he felt alot of pain on his foot during practice. So it is not like he hurt himself, it just a pain that came from hard long practice. Just like how his back hurt back then.. He goes to the doctor, and the doctor said that he need to take it easy while practice dancing or if not it will get worse. So yeah, he actually need to rest but he insisted to still performing while dancing. But he must avoid heavy and hard moves, that's why he left sometimes. Hope he gets all better ❤️

i love how i was getting excited along with you in the dance practice even though i needed your explaination to get what was happening 😂💕 btw the guy you thought was woozi in the first verse is hoshi!! yes i agree, dino does always go all out and honestly its so pleasing to the eye when he dances... dino's dad runs a dance studio and i think his mom also dances or atleast used to. so one could say that he's been exposed to dancing since he was born which really shows; plus the members said dino's dance style was similar to his dad's. regarding all the "running" parts, i personally see it like way to make you see the picture of a fast surrounding while the "main" person is feeling still/slow. kinda like slowly walking in a busy crowd maybe during rush hour 🤔

Yes I think the running around is their expression of processing your feeling to someone from Friends to lovers.. that’s the main concept of ready to love.. you are confessing that you are ready to face the feelings of changing friendship to love.. journey to face your feelings and be honest.

I dont have any knowledge about dancing but i just want to say that whenever i see a dancer react to seventeen they will attracted by dino jun the8 and hoshi. Dino is a talented boy and his hyung call him 'the future of kpop'. Also, You should check out to dino danceology in seventeen youtube. He has his own color when choreographing and i think when you check dino danceology you can recognize which seventeen song he choreograph because me not a dancer can know it. Okay next, during the practice to prepare for comeback minghao sprained his ankle, according to the doctor, he have to rest during the promotion but our hard working man minghao want participate in the promotion thats why during the heavy choreo minghao left for awhile then join them back. Just a bit of spoiler, seungkwan also hurt his ankle during homerun era and in the homerun mv there will be 14 members. Haha

The part where they moved during the choreo represents the lyrics of feeling lost and searching for the person that's why they are running in the place .... Hence the phrase run away because you are my escape . The members said this during the MV behind scenes !! Also I don't agree at all that Seventeen don't have elements from their uniqueness. Like you said and I agree with you they have evolved, they have learned and grown. They are such great, skill and smart dancers that in this piece they showcase how much they have grown. It is a mature seventeen 💎🤭 I don't know why some people are so confused about this because it's not a surprise at least for me ...It is not like Seventeen have an específic style they are so diverse that we shouldn't be surprised 😂. Also that element of using different choreos with different groups at the same time and with different accents during the coreo, they have already done this on Home; run . You would love that one too is one their more complex coreos. I think that the reason why they always do this running section is bcs there is lyrics say "run away to the other side of the world" (and continue to next lyric) meaning they gonna run away with their lovers. The running part in the first verse was painting an image that the person (wonu) has been passed by time and by people around him which makes him want to ground himself and think about his feelings as he grew, thats why there were people passing by, making it like “time passing as he grew”. Love your videos!! Just wanted to drop a little detail about this part 16:41 - 16:53 You pointed out that there needs to be some connection between the inner and outer circle. Turns out, there actually is! I missed it the first few times myself! While the inner circle is doing a more intense choreo dance compared to the first chorus (thus impressing on the increasing intensity of the song), the outer circle is repeating the first chorus choreo again! So there IS connection. Little detail added by the boys but wanted to bring this to your attention hence had to comment! :))

Your comment about Dino reminds me of Hoshi saying 1 thing he loved about going solo is that he doesn't have to reduce his energy to fit the whole group dance 🤣 They are trying to add a lot of running into the scene (even the transition is running). A day before the comeback they had announced that The8 had injured his ankle! He was having pain in his instep. He's cleared to do most promotions and some choreography (I think) but most performances he isn't fully in. I'm assuming that this was prerecorded a bit and that Minghao's been in some pain for a bit so they let him take it easy during the most strenuous chorus. I'm hoping that there is an ot13 version of this final chorus that we'll get to see once Minghao's fully healed!

Haha, I get how you were confused at some moments. The moment where they randomly run looks really good on the music show performance, because of the camera work. The choreo definitely overwhelmed me too, but in my case it was for sure positive. Hope it goes that way for you too, but being a profesional probably makes it harder 😅.
