It can be an anxiety attack because it occurs when someone becomes very anxious, but it also can be a panic attack because the anxiety triggers a flight or fight response in your body and makes you panic. Dancing alone is helpful. The teacher can only focus on u and correct u in whatever needs to be corrected, Its common in dance. Everyone get nervous but i feel like paige just couldnt hanlde abbys teaching, and i get it. Everyone handles it differently.

I am actually so in awe of these kids. Like they are so amazing. They can balance school, dance, their social lives, & can perform under pressure so well. Its insane! Like Abbys training may be super harsh sometimes, but it definitely works and shows. ❤

Actually, they had hardly any time to be kids since days off were like nonexistent to them, and they had to rent this place with this tutor that would teach them because they couldn't balance school with dance and they were constantly stressed and overwhelmed.

I know people say that Abby is why the girls are who they are but normally that's what happens when you get emotionally abused. Maybe it wasn't her intention to do that to the girls but she did. The girl was so afraid for Abby's response she began to cry.

At this point it's not even a cry, it's panic attack, Paige was so scared of Abby, she got so much hate for that people saying she was a brat. Not only Paige, but you have also Chloe having panic attack because Abby was ALWAYS on her back. Even Maddie couldn't stand the pressure Abby ALWAYS put on her, so scared on missing a step, Abby/Producers loved so much the drama that Maddie excluded herself of the group, Mackenzie was always compared to her sister etc. Sure thanks to the show the girls got popular, but they paid the price very well, the pressure, creepy stalkers, panic attack and more at such young age was not good for their mental. People can said, it was staged/fake but children don't heavily cry, or have panic attack for nothing, no matter how staged/edited the show is/was, there is a reason on why almost all the girls did stop contact with Abby. I used to dance in a ballet school very young, in ballet the discipline is key, the teachers were strict because it's like that in ballet yet I don't think I ever saw someone having a panic attack because he/she was afraid of the teacher, crying of frustration, yes of course, but panic attack never. Having a strict teacher and someone screaming/insulting you is different.

Erica Varnado I personally think that the children were the ones who wanted to stay. They wanted to keep dancing with their friends. Yes, they could easily keep dancing at the studio but they wouldn't see each other as often. I'm not saying that it was okay for Kelly to leave them there in that situation but it is understandable the girls wanted to stay dancing with their friends.

Christie has said that at this point of the show they weren't getting paid barely anything at all. It really wasn't popular back then. Also, the Hylands already had money; competitive dance is an extremely expensive sport, especially if they're competing weekly (comp entry fees, travel fees, costumes, etc) and she has two kids in it.
