That schcool has like ten teachers and Abby barely does any of the teaching off camera at the junior level so the "Abby doesn't give them attention" is no excuse. Even Maddie has most of her privates with other staff. Before that she was doing a whole bunch of other stuff as well as dance, so wasn't there as much. Maddie, from four or five years old, signed up to a double roster of classes (so most kids were attending one ballet, one acro, one tap and one jazz class a week; Maddie willingly did two of each). Maddie only doesn't show up if she's working or if her mother won't let her. Apparently kids like Brooke, Chloe and Paige would go weeks without turning up to their prescribed classes. Plus in class the other kids cry and quit when it's too hard and have their mothers come in or don't apply the corrections (I mean how many times has Abby told Nia the same thing over and over in rehearsal- see she does pay attention to her). Maddie takes the corrections the first time. She know if she slacks off Chloe and Brooke will be doing her roles.

Rosa Parks was a black woman who refused to give up her seat on a bus to a white passenger after the whites-only section was filled. This happend on December 1st 1955 when racism was very high. At that time the goverment would divide the colored people from the white people. Jim Crow laws enabled the racial segregation of the Montgomery Bus Line. As a result of this segregation African Americans were not hired as drivers, were forced to ride in the back of the bus, and were frequently ordered to surrender their seats to white people even though black passengers made up 75% of the bus system's riders. Rosa Parks refused and is therefore an important person in black history, having a white girl play the part of Rosa Parks would be disrespectful, inappropriate and frankly racist.
