This group dance was purely genius. It was very simple, very clean, and very intricate. No turn combinations, barely any acro tricks, just dancing, and pure movements. I especially loved the simple yet delicate poses at the beginning. The choreography was amazing, and I felt the parasols (not umbrellas, because umbrellas protect from the rain, while parasols protect from the sun. The dance is called "Made FromThe Shade", and parasols create shade.) added to the dance. It was just beautiful. And for you people saying that this dance is boring, or the song put you to sleep, I completely disagree. I felt the song was very interesting, but I'm a piano player, so I loved it. The dance was subtle and light, while MDP's was very bold and big. Sometimes less is more, and that was clearly the case with this dance. My favorite Dance Moms group dance to date.

People keep saying MDP should have won but honestly dancing is NOT tricks, flips, or gymnastics. It is lines, pointed feet, posture, turns, and musicality. MDP did not have that ALDC did. Made for shade is DANCE! So those kids know what they are doing

The pink, the graceful umbrellas, the chero, the melody, the dancing, how angel this is, how beautiful everything is, and how everyone’s costumes flow through and how they move through the stage… it’s beautiful, angelic and just amazing. The piano melody has no lyrics, yet speaks of its own.. it’s delicate, graceful, and beautiful. I love it so much, and the dance was just pleasing. It shows a great and beautiful meaning. Angelic!

I think this dance shows that even a number of low difficulty can be well executed in a way that makes it seem more difficult. These were small , simple movements that made a brilliant dance. The dancers technique really made it all.

***** Nia is a great contemporary dancer, I don't know why people always try to steer her towards hip-hop... & JoJo may not have done well with Abby's lyrical, but she has done lyrical solos and looked amazing. So, with better training I can still see both Nia and JoJo being near Kalani's level. They just won't get there as quickly as maybe Maddie would. Snoopydog3000 Since you seemed to miss the point of my comment I'll put it bluntly: For them to win first place over MDP their umbrellas could've at least been in sync.

I really like this group dance. The music and the costumes are so pretty. To me, this dance is different from there other lyrical dances. Also, with this dance we got to see how every girl could handle dancing with a prop and I think they handled it wonderfully.

This dance is just beautiful. it was pure movements, without many stunts or turns. The emotion was subtle, beautiful and simple. The costume was so beautiful that I want to buy an equal. the umbrellas really made a very good addition to the dance. There were some JoJo timing errors, but apart from that, I would give an almost perfect score. This dance is DANCE. feet straight, knees in, spine straight and chin up. musicality, facial expressions and simplicity.

Ava IS naturally skinny genetically, plus she burns a lot of calories dancing and practicing, plus she grew like crazy in the last few years making it difficult to gain weight even if she wanted to (and she's fine with how she is if people would stop rude comments an how "skinny" she is.) I think Ava is lean, gracefull, talented, kind, thoughtful, considerate, hard working and beautiful. Yo' people, love yourself. Just be the best you can be without hurting others. Why is it that one person can stay slim while eating a lot of calories, while another tends to gain weight despite eating fewer? - According to new research from Kent State University, the muscles of naturally thin people may just work differently. - A research team, led by Chaitanya K. What caused the difference in the number of calories burned by the lean girls and the fat girls? - The researchers think it could be that the lean girls had higher levels of proteins that support energy expenditure and lower levels of proteins that encourage energy conservation. Genes Play a Big Part Novak said that whatever made the lean girls more likely to burn calories, they were born with it. Novak said that active people tend to be thin, and those with a high aerobic capacity are generally more active. But just because these people are inherently lean doesn’t mean they will stay that way-they could still gain weight if they regularly choose to eat unhealthy foods and skip workouts. “In the bigger picture, [the study] would also imply that any advantage these intrinsically lean people have in staying thin may be canceled out if they are not physically active,” she said. I really don't understand why people are hating on this dance. This is one of the most beautiful dances that the ALDC has done. Yes there were mistakes, but overall this dance was beautiful and fresh. And I applaud the girls for dancing so well with those umbrellas.

This made me think about the dance that Ava did a couple seasons back when her umbrella went inside out on stage and Abby got pissed at her. I feel like this is Abby's way of saying that if give girls in a group dance can work with umbrellas then she should've been able to as well.

Ava's prop blunder needs to be looked at better. Watch her full solo Drizzle and you'll see that the dance is terribly edited with the color of her umbrella being switched in between the dance - so we shall call it set up. Besides who cares if they did it fine, it doesn't mean Ava should automatically be able to.

The concept and story of this dance was amazing. I thought the story could have been executed a bit more prominently but other than that this dance was beautiful. The timing was great even for JoJo and Kenzie. You can tell when Abby is calm and in her right state of mind when dances are so nice for several weeks in a row. If the drama is low and the moms aren't bothering her for dumb reasons she and Gia can make great dances.

Unrelated but I’m just reminded because of the umbrellas, one time in my school musical we did a group number with umbrellas and in one of the shows I couldn’t find my umbrella right before we were supposed to go out so I had to use one of the broken ones we had from rehearsals and then I also missed my cue to go onstage, luckily a friend realized what was happening and they went in my spot so I went in theirs which was later and then we tried to subtly switch spots in the spacing once we were onstage lmao, it ended up fine and I don’t think the audience noticed but it was stressful 😂
