Discord We don't mean not edit it all together, we mean edit in a way where it isn't ONLY drama. I believe they shoot around 64 hours a week yet majority of the episodes are full of drama. They probably have some really great moments throughout the week that are edited out and instead they show petty drama all the time. Were saying it'd be great if they'd show some of nicer moments once in a while.

Np! And yeah I agree, the producers like to manipulate things to make it seem like Chloe is a "weaker" dancer. Especially in season 1 and season 2, they cut out and/or downplayed quite a few of her wins. Thank goodness I know the truth now, she was amazing in this improv.

I think they want to show Chloe as the underdog, because that's what gets her all the fan attention and subsequently, the show attention. And now they're starting to manipulate editing of Maddie to show her negatively in order to provoke even more online debate/activity.

Matilda Carter I think they try do try to portray Chloe as a weaker dancer too because many times they've wrongly portrayed results and have not shown some of her placings and wins. Out of everyone they've done that to Chloe the most. They do the underdog thing but I don't think that's the main reason people like Chloe. Even if she wasn't portrayed as a underdog I still think she would have a lot of fans. Chloe just has that sweet personality, the kid just seems like she has a heart of gold. Also she's is so resilient she just handles all that negativity Abby gives her with grace and dignity; I think a lot of people like her for that because even after all that she still goes out there and does her best and gives beautiful performances. She's an amazing dancer, she was so great live. And I don't like the producers or Abby for doing what they do these girls. They do it all for drama and its wrong.

Yes, I suppose you're right; her grace and dignity are lovely qualities in her. Hard to imagine where she got them from, when Christi is anything but. I think the 'underdog' thing does her huge favours fanbase-wise as well. However, it bugs me that fans of hers continue to insist she's the best dancer and deserves the success that Maddie's having, a lot of them insisting she deserves that success INSTEAD of Maddie. Chloe is beautiful, sweet, graceful, classy - yes. But the best dancer? No, I'm afraid not. She doesn't work as hard or want it as much as some of the others in that group. And that's probably Abby's fault, but the fact remains, she's not a 'star'. She's a lovely normal little girl. Refreshing in that sense. But Maddie's the 'star'.

why? simple, it makes for "good" TV. The "villain" ( i.e Maddie ) and the underdog/the one everyone roots for ( i.e Chloe )..not saying Maddie is a villain in real life, i'm just saying thats how the producers edit the footage. Since s1 e1 there has always been this Maddie v. Chloe "rivalry" going on ( as well as Maddie v all the other girls on the team )..and I am afraid the show will always have that as an underlying theme. I agree i'm a big fan of the girls, they are incredible dancers..not a fan of the show. I haven't been since I found out how they portray Brooke and Paige. There have been MANY instances where they dont show their solos or other dances they are in. In s1, remember the beauty pageant that "only Maddie qualified for" no, Brooke also qualified for it as well..they just edited it out. Also remember how Chloe got the Joffrey scholarship? well Maddie got it as well, but the show didnt show it..and neither of the girls could even do the Joffrey thing because it overlapped with filming of Dance Moms

Well kalani proved her mom right. That she could put Ava in a grave. 👌🏾 noticed Maddie got bumped out 😂 she's Abby's "strongest dancer/go to dancer" but kalani and Chloe moved on and she got bumped out. I don't think that girl should have won. It was tough between kalani and Chloe. ☺️

I absolutely love these videos because i hate how the editing doesn't always give a situation justice (obv i get they cant fit like 20 hours of film that week into 45 mins show), Sometimes i wish they would add more than just drama like it would have been nice to see Abby, Christi and Kira go on stage and the girls get given a scholarship, instead of showing Abby's unimpressed face all the time. here's what we can learn from this: -chloe and kalani are really amazing dancers and their improv is gorg! -the show edits so their accomplishments are downplayed for the "storyline" -the public favors chloe whether she wins or doesn't: what judges say doesn't matter to them (the judges didn't pick her for first, but the audience always will. i mean, who cares about that amazing local dancer or kalani?)

I think they both have different strengths/weaknesses, and specific areas they're stronger in; for instance, Maddie is amazing at leaps, Chloe is amazing at turns. But in the its subjective, everyone will have their own opinion on who's better overall.

No, they went to the judges because it was part audience vote, but mostly judge voted That's what it was from the very beginning, so they didn't do that purely because Chloe would have won

I think it was a fair win for the other girl. Of course Chloe and Kalani did great, but then again if any of them won, people (at the competition or people watching the show) would've said it was staged or they payed for Chloe/Kalani to win. Not only that but the other girl did great. :)

In my honest opinion i felt like Kalani should've won. Her dancing is just incredible. The other girls also did amazing but Kalani was my favourite
