Well to be fair Mackenzie wasn't even supposed to dance let alone be on the first couple seasons, so Maddie was really the only one of her kids actually meant to be on the show dancing. I think there was a lot of comparison on the show and quotes by Mellissa not in her favor but it's not nice to say she doesn't love one of her children as much, or whatever kind of comparison is made. I'm not trying to hate or be rude.

the reason why melissa kept talking about maddie is because in an interview from 2016, abby said mackenzie wasn’t originally wanted on the show, but melissa insisted and pushed for mackenzie’s spot. during this interview, the producers only wanted to hear about maddie because she was supposed to be the only one on the show.

Ya’ll have to remember this was MADDIES dream. McKenzie was let into dance because of her sister. She enjoyed a lot of it if course, but it was always maddies thing. That’s why mellisa said Abby would make her daughter a star. Mackenzie never wanted to be on Broadway it’s been said many times by her in the show.

Absolutely. This was all about funding a lifestyle for Melissa and bringing her fame through her daughters. She was worse than Abby. That laugh was chilling. McKenzie was the one with the personality. Maddie came to life when she danced but she seems very cold, even today. These girls must have been damaged by all of this and may be they will both wake up one day and realise who their mother really is. Talent should be nurtured and not pushed.

Jess Legati Maddie was never a brat, you guys just need to put her down because Abby loved her. she is human and have every right to cry as well as saying how she feels.
