@Lillian Duo I don’t think you understand what I’m saying. There was a misunderstanding between the dancers for which competition would preform which dance. Maddie had stated something about the competitions but chloe misunderstood since they were thinking about different contests, At the competition, obviously Christi was confused with why were they performing, and Maddie stated that she was talking about another location, not the one they were at. Then Christi accused Maddie of lying to her daughter, when in reality they weren’t even talking about the same competition.

The moms have to understand that being in Melissa’s position is really tough. Having to choose between her daughters success and her “friends” is something they should have never put on her. I’m sure Melissa would feel guilty if she pulled out maddies solo and she would also feel guilty if she didn’t. I think it was good that melissa let Maddie choose. This way, Melissa doesn’t have to feel any guilt for taking away an opportunity from her daughter

I AM SO HAPPY MADDIE DIDN’T WANTED TO DANCE. Not because she don’t deserve it, she is so amazing, but this would have ruined one of her friendships just like it did with Chloe. When Abby said it’s time for her to focus more on her dancing least on her friend I was so mad. Honestly Christi is a bad friend. I love her she is a great mom. The thing is She can say all she wants that Abby sets her up to win and you can see clearly the reason she wins is because of her dedication.instead of teaching her daughter hard work is what gives success and not just the choreography but the amount of work you put into choreography. On top of that these mothers can careless that maddie turned down a solo just to make these mothers happy because it gives a better chance for their kids to do well and Maddie to loose an opportunity. Chloe,Kendall and Kamryn were doing their best,they had a solo from the beginning and here it comes Abby saying that she will TAKE AWAY one of the original solo to give a chance to Maddie to perform.Then,Melissa should say that the 3 girls had a solo from the beginning and it is rude and selfish from Abby to take one of the 3 solos...I mean if she wanted Maddie to perform she could put her in the competition from the beginning and give the rest of the girls just 2 solos.Instead, she gived 3 solos and said in the pyramid that Maddie would not have a solo at Nationals...Melissa should stick up for the other girls too because the moms sometimes stick up for her kids.I mean, why she didn't see how uncomfortable Maddie felt ?She let Maddie decided if she wants to hurt the girls and take away one solo from one when like a good mom she should sau,,No Abby,it is wrong to take one solo you already give to that girl.Maddie should perform if you can put another solo in the competition...".Maddie did the right think ,I am proud of her for her decision.She choose to not hurt her friends so she could benefit of something when she already danced with Sia and she was the most known from the show...This situation shows the fact that Maddie is a better person than Melissa.This is just my opinion,you can disagree but please don't be rude.

But unlike every other season, Maddie had a lot on her plate. If all she had to do was nationals, then it wouldn’t have made sense to pull Maddie out. But Maddie had Sia, Jimmy Kimble, and Nationals to deal with, its sometimes a lot for a child to handle all at once. But I will give props to Melissa for letting her kid speak and make the decision for her. I’m not a melissa fan but at least she didn’t make the decision for her kid

I would never just stand by and let my child or another child who was given a solo and have it be taken away. Abby wanted to take somone solo out and put Maddie in and I wouldn't tolerate or accept that even as the mother of a child who might be replacing another child. To me that makes you a bad person taking someone solo away.

If she was just added to the program it wouldn’t be bad, to take away another solo from a kid would be pretty messed up. But the moms get mad even if nobody’s solo is taken away and Maddie is doing one because they know she will probably win over everyone else. But that’s how the real world works- people getting promoted over you even if you’ve been there longer. I’ve watched people get promoted over me (restaurant industry, nothing crazy) and I’ve been promoted over other people. My first promotion was going from host to server, and my friend was hosting longer than me, but I got promoted and she didn’t, mainly because she was late all the time and would smoke a ton of weed before work, and I’m older and have more job experience... I almost turned it down because I felt so bad. She didn’t talk to me for a few months. And I’m glad I didn’t turn it down because I made 4x the amount I was making as hosting. That’s just how it works, and it’s good that they deal with this now than when they’re adults. If they’re all dancing still it happens all the time at auditions.

Not everything is always about your child. And how would you feel knowing yoru child solo might be pulled so someone else can have one. Abby said she was going to pull one. I would be upset. I would reject it. The decision was made end of discussion to me. I don't care if the teacher wants to put my child in she won't go in.

Kate Gruodis The dance world - the entertainment world in general - is very cutthroat. There will always be people getting opportunities that you won’t or favorites being played because the world isn’t fair and expecting it to be is a little naive. That’s just how it is, especially in the entertainment world. When they are trying to get jobs they can’t pass up on an opportunity because a friend didn’t get it - because who is to say that you’ll get another opportunity like that again, especially when you’re first starting out? (And needing to break the reality tv role stigma.) In the entertainment world you kind of need to take the roles that you are given and run with it, and Abby in a warped and twisted way might be trying to prepare them for that or show them that.
