In terms of COURTESY, which is subjective, if I am able to LOCATE the original FILMER of a particular vid, I ask them if they mind if I post the video. The people I've asked all say yes...but since this dancewhine4eva chick didn't actually do anything other than write her name at the end on pink "back to the future" font, I'll take this vid down by week's end and chop out her name. I recorded it from tumblr, and I deliberately left that logo on at the end because I did NOT record it, and didn't want to take away the credit of the person that I assumed had recorded it (I checked twitter for danchchic4eva but didn't think to search youtube) because once these vids end up on cyberspace, it gets difficult to trace them back...the only "source" I had to cite was that tag at the end. I thought you had recorded it. But since you only did the SAME EXACT THING that i did (ct'd)

Pt 2 then I would be happy to remove your name from the end of it. Again, only left it there as a shout to the person I assumed was the one who filmed the dance. Multiple people took my yt vids that I recorded from the Jump livestream and of the Co.Dance comp and posted them on their own channel....who cares? They aren't my property, I'm not making money off them and neither is anyone else. I add DM stuff to my channel that I think fans would want to see that aren't as... ct'd

Pt 3 ...commonly available as clips from the official show. I think it's pretty funny that you're so snippy. Basically, your friend recorded it from tumblr for you, you added your account name to the end, and now it's "your" video? Again, you're not dancing in it, you didn't write the song, you didn't film it...you took something and wrote your name at the end. I'm totally going to record Game of Thrones next week, add my name to the end, post it, and then say it's MINE! Thx for the idea.

You're actually wrong - YT even says that you can't monetize a channel that has videos you took if all they are is videos of OTHER PEOPLE'S intellectual property. Did you get permission from the record companies for all the full versions of DM songs on there, or get a release to use all the pictures on your videos? They're not public domain. No. You're like me, a fan who is aggregating content so that other fans can enjoy it. Legally, none of us have any "rights" here.
