Dance of the drunk mantis (Drunken Master 2) Part 6

Plot: The year after training a young Freddy Wong (Jackie Chan) in Drunken Boxing, Beggar So / Sam Seed returns to find that his wife has adopted a son Foggy.
Sam takes a disliking to the boy and tortures him mentally and physically. Devastated, the boy runs away and takes a job at an inn, where he meets Rubber Legs and his student. He overhears that they are looking for Beggar So and want to kill him, making Rubber Legs' Northern 'Drunk Mantis' Boxing supreme.

So, they break into this groovy jazz-funk stuff, from 3:44 to 4:33, and I dig it. Usually, these movies will just play music from the Star Wars Soundtrack, or something from Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon, with blatant disregard for western copyright laws, but they should have been making the music, inhouse, if they had cats like this available for session work. Listen to it again. Can they cook or what?

Rubber Legs whooped Sam Seed twice, thus proving that his Northern drunk boxing was superior to Sam Seed's Southern drunk boxing which was what he set out to prove all along so I don't know why he would need to collect the life of Sam Seed when he has already proven his superiority

I think it's about being the only one, like he already defeated him twice, now he needs to wipe anyone who knows any other style of drunken boxing so his technique could be the only true drunken boxing (ofc this is all speculation on my part as I haven't seen the entire movie yet)
