Took a look at SEVENTEEN's Good To Me Choreography, and it's surprisingly intricate and groovy for one of their "darker" songs. In this video, I share more in-depth upon their choices within this dance set.
Let me know what you want me to watch! Or better yet, suggest another type of content I should make that could help you learn more about dance! Whether you're an aspiring dancer, training to be a K-Pop idol, or just want to appreciate the art of dance-
I want to share my knowledge with YOU.
Hope ya'll enjoy this video!
Quick about me:
My real name is Tad, but DonKawaii/Don was simply an IGN name I created playing FF14 online, so I kinda just rolled with it. Lol. You can call me either one. I am also a teacher, and I teach people dance. And normally, I teach my students dance through sharing my own choreography, giving people drills or exercises to build foundation and technique. and I've been dancing for 15 years mainly growing up through Hip Hop dance culture, but have also taken inspiration from other dance artforms such as ballet, jazz, and tap. And how I got into K-Pop was because the main three groups, Wonder Girls, Big Bang, and SNSD. That followed with other things hallyu like korean dramas, variety shows, and the rest is history.
FAQs:
Why "Dance Teacher" even though you say "Dance Mentor"?
I actually consider myself both. I am not just someone who teaches dance, but I resonate more as a mentor who is there to help, train, or advise dancers to take steps into the right direction. "Dance Teacher" is a title that just makes it easier for newer people to understand what I do.
Do you actually know or speak Korean?
Baby levels. I've studied Korean 한국어 for 1 year when I was in community college. I can read and write in Korean, but I still have trouble speaking and formulating sentences.
Have you ever worked for any K-Pop artists in terms of creating choreography, backup dancers, etc.?
Yes, but not directly or in-person. I have partaken in K-Pop choreography submission projects/demos under the direction of dancers such as Pat Cruz (Kinjaz, The Company), Larkin Poynton (Project Home), and Alo Galedo (Brotherhood, The Company).

Oh they're serious with that hitting the woah. Like they've been in a moment when they've been doing that move each time they can. They enjoyed it a lot for reason I could never understand lol.

This is among one of my fav b-sides too. YMMD as an album is a big surprise in general when it comes to the OT13 songs. They touched the "dark" and "hard" genre for the first time in Getting Closer, and then contrasted it with such an unexpectedly quiet title track in Home. Good to Me feels like a great summary of the album. The song's lyrics and beat is pretty chill like Home, but it also has Getting Closer's dark edge. Not to mention the vocals and rap are equally prominent, balancing the rap-centric GC and vocal-centric Home. It's just...great (I hate that I can't think of a better word to describe it). It is a mix of a lot of juxtaposing things and it's brought together artfully. Thank you for your commentary and opinions! I appreciate it!

Woozi always likes putting delays usually before the last chorus of their songs.

This was one my favorite songs even before being a carat. And I love that moment in 8:29 , like we already accepted it as an undisputable fact that Seventeen are clean in their choreos. One of the kings when it comes to synchronization!

The funny thing is that this came out before the woah became popular, so when people did reactions to this late they all thought svt included the woah on purpose

Ahahah told ya at some point you’ll see them tryna dab, hit the woah n all that in their choreos😂 also, can i suggest Heaven pls?🙏🏼 i’ll copy what i wrote from your community post heheh: Idk if you’ll be able to read this but i also highly recommend u watch svt and nu’est w’s collab called Heaven. It will “blow your mind, blow your mind, blow you mind~” 😉 you’ll know y when u watch it😆 P.s. there’s actually exactly 17 ppl dancing and singing this time! And dont watch the MAMA vid bc the camera work was crap. But luckily pledis put out a dance practice! P.p.s. They didnt release the studio vers of it so both fandoms got used to the synchronised stomps of their feet😭
